Christmas Countdown - 2012

well the snow continues to fall, should stop this afternoon. It is a winder wonderland out there.
I have to be at my first job at 11 and my second at 6, will be done at 11 tonight (more likely 11:30, depends on how busy it gets) So for now i relax and watch my son shovel snow.

I hope you get the amount of snow that you want! We have been getting flurries the past few days, but no accumulation. Right now there is snow on the truck and the roofs of the dog houses the cats took over.

I'll take a couple of inches but I don't want the 8 to 10 inches they were saying we might get last week.

Good morning, MMC family! How are you all? I am well. Just sitting enjoying a cup of Dunkin Donuts pumpkin coffee and DH stopped on the way home and picked up donuts as well, so that made it extra good!

What are you all up to this weekend? We're going to start decorating today. YAHHH! The only thing I dislike about decorating, is that I have to do major cleaning first. BLAAHHH. At least the end result will be so beautiful - I can't wait!

Christmas is wonderful, but it can make us miss those people, and times, in the past. I hope this year is a great holiday for you and I'm praying it will be.
But, I thought you might want to see my furkid...
Normally our dog Happy likes to be nosy and get into our Christmas decorations when we're decorating. But yesterday he was content to just sit on the couch and watch. He wasn't impressed. I think maybe he was still recovering from Thanksgiving (he had a little too much to eat as we took him to my in-laws with us, so he could celebrate the holiday...Happy Dog hasn't exactly missed any meals).

Good Morning MMC!!!!! It's going to be a cold day here in central Indy with a high of 35 this afternoon. I need to get some cleaning done today and then we are having a birthday party for my aunt this evening. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

Good morning, MMC! Another sleepless night. I didn't fall asleep until after 4 in the morning because the Nyquil wasn't working. My throat hurts so unbelievably bad that I feel like someone is stabbing me every time I swallow. If I don't feel better on Monday then off to the doctor I go. Even my ears hurt when I swallow.

What does everyone have planned for the weekend? Any Thanksgiving leftovers remaining? I saw some of you went Black Friday shopping - you are so brave! I hate crowds so I did some major shopping online.

Going to have some hot chocolate now!

I hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday! Actually, it was very beautiful day here, in Dumfries. It was cloudy but it was nicely chilly outside. And we had a first Jack Frost this night so the morning was very beautiful. I have a picture for you to show: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/13/firstfrost.png/ I went to 'Cardfactory' this morning to look for a Christmas card for my godparents and oh my gosh, it was crazy in the store! There were lots of people. LOTS. I couldn't even access the shelf with cards so I just left without nothing. But actually I really like the atmosphere because Christmas music was on and everybody were looking for greeting cards and talking about Christmas. Ah, so amazing! ^^

So sad for me, except I noticed a trend with my mom and Christmas photos. In AT LEAST one she jokes around with either the wrapping paper, decorations, or ribbons. In the ones from her last Christmas, she put bows and ribbons in what hair she had left from chemo. Bittersweet, but so funny!

Hello everyone---just loving the long weekend, that's all! We made another Thanksgiving-sized dinner out of leftovers yesterday, but this morning we were discussing ways to work more exercise into our days ... I think dinner will be a smaller affair tonight!

Love logging on this time of year and reading about everyone's decorating and other Christmas prep. So festive! Especially with the iPad playing Christmas music at the same time.

Work wasn't too busy today, which was a good thing since I am still recovering from Black Friday. Day off tomorrow, which is well needed. I will be hanging my outdoor lights tomorrow. Just watching Plane, Trains, and Automobiles now since I didn't get a chance before Thanksgiving.
