Christmas Countdown - 2012

My dad has been calling me everyday to update me on all the Hallmark Christmas movies. He is watching way more than I am! He is really enjoying them and I am so glad. I know it's been hard since his brother (my uncle) has passed away and every year we went to his house on Christmas Eve. I am happy to see my dad still has the Christmas Spirit, even though it will be different this year.

Also, please keep my dad in prayer. I hate bringing this type of news to the Countdown but he got a report from the doctor yesterday about his blood count regarding Waldenstrom disease that he has suffered for 10 years. (A mild form of leukemia) and it didn't look as good as it has in the past. The good news is he still don't have to do chemo. They want to see him back in 3 months and I pray that his blood count will improve!!! Reminding myself: PRAY AND THINK POSITIVE THOUGHTS!

I will be praying for your dad, CAH!

Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers! Adrian is starting to feel a little bit better, I'll make sure he gets lots of rest today. The truck seems to be running okay… So far, so good! We are going vehicle hunting tomorrow.

I think we are going to lay low today and maybe just watch some Christmas movies I hope you all have a wonderful day!!

On my break at work, very busy morning which is great as it went by fast. I could have a nap about now but still have 2 1/2 hours to go when I go back.
Almost forgot to tell you, LittleCS got a job at the dollar tree, started today!!! Just got text from her that it went well and her feet hurt.

Good afternoon, my friends!
Hope you guys are having a good Friday

The fun is Just beginning for us-Adrian is now sick too, and I am still trying to get over my cold from Thanksgiving time. We were supposed to trade in our vehicles this weekend & get a smaller SUV. Our truck is still broken down out in front of our house,and Adrian & our neighbor are trying to work on it in order to even get it to the dealership to trade it in...Needless to say, this has kind of thrown a wrench into our schedule. Please keep your fingers crossed for us!
I just feel so bad for Adrian, we don't want to have to put a lot of money in to something we are just giving the dealership, and he is so sick that he just wants to be in bed resting. He's such a trooper!

We were supposed to go and see a favorite Irish band of ours tonight With some friends & it was also a night to say some goodbyes as well. It looks like I'll be going solo.

What are your plans for the weekend?

Home alone is coming on the family channel at 8 so I think I will enjoy that tonight.

I have to make 15 small gingerbread house's for a fun time next Wednesday with a bunch of ladies and kids at a low income housing complex. They will get to decorate them and we always have a fun time with this. I have the dough made and like to let it sit overnight so the flavour gets richer.

One more thing, please keep in your thoughts an prayers a co-worker of mine and her family. Their house burned down last night, they lost everything. No one was injured, but the event was very traumatic. People are helping them where they can, it has been an amazing show of support in the 24 hours since the fire.

I'm glad no one was injured, but it is a hard thing to go through. I will be praying for your co-worker and her family!

Morning and a happy weekend to you all. I've finished as much decorating as I can do this year. Hopeful I will be better prepared next year when we are a little more settled into our house. I've got our office party tonight which should get me in the Christmas mood although I've a cold that is clinging on ggrrr. Hope everyone is feeling festive!

Had a terrible night...
Isak is sick again, and have been throwing up all night.
We change our bed sheets three times.
And he have been taking three baths..poor little guy.
Now he is laying on the sofa playing Minecraft on the Ipod.
On the one sofa we covered, because he just threw up
on one of the other... (good we have three!)

Yay!.. Guess things can only get better from here:grin:

So how is everyone here?
It's so busy this time of year... but i love it!

I did make one glutenfree also, but it would not work with me.
Maybe I have to try again...

just got back from the christmas party of our local animal shelter for animals (horses, goats, donkeys, lamas, alpacas and on) that would be killed otherwise.....we had cup a mulled wine and Kandice had a cup of kid´s christmas punch...had a bratwurst and Kandice and I have decided to give a little money monthly for the animals....it is only 5 euros...but it´s better than nothing....if the financial situation is getting better....we will raise the amount!.....Merry Christmas

Good afternoon, MMC!

I hope this finds everyone doing well and having lots of memory-making holiday fun!

It snowed this morning! There is still a light dusting on the ground and the truck, but tomorrow it is supposed to rain so the snow won't be around long. I am still without my computer and it is looking like mid-week before I can take it somewhere to be fixed. The owner of the computer I am currently using has issued a "no changes" to the computer warning, so I am limited as to what I can do. For some reason, I can't access my emails and I cannot answer any PMs on here ~ I have no idea what his settings are, but I don't like them cheesy

Things are going well here otherwise. Palmer has given up on DWW and is now stalking Mouse ~ I expect to be breaking up a cat fight shortly. I want to put on Christmas music or a Hallmark Christmas movie (currently I am getting that channel and HMC free :dance: ), but today is my brother's birthday and he much prefers movies like DWW. I actually made a dent in my organizing yesterday ~ the kitchen is looking a lot more like a kitchen now and not a storage facility ~ yay!

Sorry i have not been on as much as i wood lke to but i have been so busy all ii do is work and sleep . been trying to decorate inside and pallets everyday am really behind with shoppng and everthing
I miss you all and hope you all have that christmas feeling i am not sure i think am just gong with the flow at the moment , but at least this weekend will finish the decor and might have a biit of time for my friends,
The shop is so busy i even have to bring pallets in this morning
Anyway that my rant over i really do hope your all good
I hope to get my cards done this weekend as tuesday is the last posting day so that is a must

It is so good that you have your parents to enjoy. I miss mine and my older sister and younger brother. I am sure you hold your time with them dearly in your heart. Take care!

Thank you for all your prayers. On the positive side of all this my dad is still his usual silly fun self! That keeps me happy!

I have found myself really tuning into every little thing my parents do as they get older and appreciating the smallest things. When I hear my phone ring and it's my mom or dad's designated ringtone, I love the sound of it. When my dad starts whistling it's like hearing Mozart! I am glad to hear him whistle! My dad comes over nearly everyday to use our computer. When asked if I am tired of him coming over all the time, my answer is, "No"! I am glad he is around and doing well enough to be able to come over. Sometimes my mom and dad ask me if I want to go somewhere with them that I am not that interested in doing, I go anyway just to spend time with them. There are so many things, to many to list but I am thankful! This goes for other friends and family in my life as well.

My parents are not old and feeble but aging and I want to do as much as possible with them while they are here. My mother actually has the energy of a 20 something! My dad, however, has some health issues that keep his energy low but he still gets around.

This post was not meant to be a downer but very uplifting in appreciating others in your life and enjoy the littlest things people have to offer.
