New Addition to the Family

Hello everyone. Caninemom3, this one is for you! We have a new addition to the family tonight. We went and adopted a sweet little rescue dog from a local shelter. She was sort of a Christmas gift for my wife and kids (and me)...so we named her Holly Noel. Here she is...

I am settling down now with the Alastair Sim version of A Christmas Carol and hopefully soon to sleep. It has been a stressful few days with Wishbone in the hospital. The vet told me today that he is responding well to the aggressive IV therapy and is eating everything they give him as soon as they put it out. But I can tell he doesn't have long just by the the tone in the doctor's voice when he talks about prognosis.

I hope everyone has a very merry, Christmassy evening xo

It is slightly windy here in northern California. With that, it is COLD! I am POSITIVE we won't get snow, so I envy those of you that do have/will get it. I did a little shopping in Chico today, and the crowds were, well, crowdy! I picked up a few scrapbooking tools I needed and some other supplies The cancer supplies store was not open, so I have to get a new bra next week. Bummer! Oh, well.

Ryan, that was a good thing you did for your wife. Everybody's a winner in that situation! Just in case I don't get back on here after dinner, I want to say good night and TTYT.

It is a (BRRRRRR) cold day here in NE Ohio right now (18 degrees Fahrenheit) and I am just sitting down to work a little.

I hope all have a very, very Christmassy day today. Tomorrow is the NIGHT OF NIGHTS !!!!!!

I will have a status report on Wish later, hopefully. Just once in my life I would LOVE to see a miracle right about now. I don't mean to sound too mean or cynical, just feeling very discouraged and sad. All living things must end I know this but I can't help having lots of questions when things like this happen.

Another cold and windy one here yesterday but not quite as bad as Friday was.

hello everyone! I have a lot to catch up on here..I feel like a stranger...I hope everyone is doing good...My mom and some sisters are here until the 26th,along with brandi and her mom and dad and older bro!!! so we have a house full and I am loving every minute of it,.. I finished up work until Jan 7th and It looks as if me and brandi are getting to go next weekend to Wisp ski resort in Md and it looks like they are going to have a lot of snow New years weekend...Of course that can change 7 days out. THat is all for now...I have a lot to catch up on...I miss you guys and hope to be around more the next 2 weeks!

I don't know if this is any help at all but a little over 7 years ago I took in a stray kitty that was very ill, underweight and not eating. We took him in 3 times and on that 3rd visit the vet seemed to give up hope and hinted in a way that we should have him put down. He didn't say those exact words but I think he gave up. I didn't give up and asked if we could just switch his antibiotics and try that. I am talking about my dear sweet Charlie that I have now, healthy, sweet, happy and spoiled (as you can tell by me letting him sleep in my Christmas village)!

Maybe that is not a lot of help knowing that my kitty was fairly young when I got him but the vet gave up when Charlie and I didn't. You never know, Wish could pull through this fine. I have been praying a lot for you and Wish!!!

Good morning, how are you all? I am well. Just sitting here with the kids, enjoying the morning and trying to get some motivation to get some things done.

Friday and yesterday were DH's families Christmas's, so I have a lots of gift giving's to put away and find places to do with. We still have three sitting of presents to go through yet - we do this every year - I always think to myself - where I am going to put all this stuff!? I always seem to find a place.

Hope everyone enjoyed their weekend. I did, but it went by too fast. I work tonight and tomorrow night, then I took off the next 3 days to be home with my family - DH will be working 2 of the nights, so I thought it would be nice for the kids to have someone home with them, instead of my a sitter.

Well, I am off to get stuff done with the kids - EA wants to play with some of her new toys. I will be in later to check in. Can't believe the big day is only 2 days away! It's so exciting! :???:

I am so glad you and your family are having a great time! It's really good to see you and I hope you can stop by more often. We miss you!

Glad you all had a blast last night. We were downstairs with the big screen---a Gloria Jean film (at the end, she becomes engaged on Christmas Day) and "The Bishop's Wife." Our guests are coming around six. They're bringing pizza with them, and we have the popcorn, cookies, soda, and movies. A really cold wind howling around here today. Earlier in the week the forecasters were saying almost no chance of a white Christmas, but this morning they were saying that there may be snow Christmas Eve night into Christmas morning. That makes me a little nervous, because we have to drive to the BIL's on Christmas Day. Outside of that, it would be a thrill to wake up to snow on Christmas!

That sounds like a wonderful evening! Can you believe that Wayne and I watched, "The Bishop's Wife" for the first time last year. We can't believe what we were missing out on! What a wonderful movie!!! I think what ruined it for me is that I actually watched, "The Preacher's Wife" shortly after it came out and I thought it was okay so I figured the original would be the same. The original is amazing!!!! It gives me a smile all the way through it!
