Good afternoon, MMC!

I am having lunch right now ~ tomato lentil soup with chicken ~ yummy! It is a cold day with snow flurries, so soup sounded good. According to Yahoo it is going to get even colder here as there is an arctic cold front that is going to head our way ~ lows are going to dip below zero ~ brrrrr! Yesterday when I got up it was 54 in the house ~ the little heater doesn't seem to heat the house all that well at night so it looks like the furnace will be on for those days/nights. I'm so glad it was fixed!! I have a lot to do today, so I bid all of you a very MERRY day ~ stay warm!

It is sun shiny and cold here in northern California this morning. We had such a fun celebration with my SIL and her family yesterday. She gave me the annual gift of Christmas in a Jar, a jar of jam that tastes, well, like Christmas. I am going to have some in a few minutes. I also got a package of gourmet grape gumdrops, sort of like gummy bears, only round. And, she gave me FIVE gift cards to Red Lobster!!! Hubby got gourmet, no-sugar chocolate covered almonds and three gift cards to Denny's. We are so lucky!

Christmas in a Jar was fabulous! I toasted some San Luis Obispo sourdough bread and spread on some butter and the jam. Heavenly! The ingredients are listed on the jar: organic sugarplums, citrus, and spices. It is made in small batches and only at Christmas. The overall, but not overpowering, spice is clove. This past December 27th was my wife's (CAH) and my 9th anniversary of being together. Not wedding anniversary, just being together as a couple. It has flown by, but it has been the best 9 years of my life. Happy Anniversary sweetie!!!:celebrate::dance:

LOL there is no point in you bashing the Steelers because we all know they are going nowhere!

That being said, my second favorite NFL team and the ONLY other team that I own a player's jersey for is the Cowboys. I will be wearing my Romo jersey all day long tomorrow. Let's go Cowboys!

I can't bash the Steelers...they are my 2nd favorite team!! I know, I know....it's like committing a crime to like those two at the same time...kinda like being a Red Sox and a Yankees fan (which I'm not a Yankees fan)!

This one is touching for me in many ways! We have many many family reel-to-reel and audio cassette tapes that bring back sweet voices and memories of yesteryear!

People would think we are crazy!!! How is it that we like the same teams and they are rivals? I live in Pittsburgh so people groan and yell at me when I put on the Romo jersey! Steelers fan first but the Cowboys are happily second!
