Good Thursday morning, my Christmas friends!

Today is Nancy's birthday, and I don't have a thing for her. Uh oh! Actually, we've spent all of our time planning a surprise 70th birthday party for my mom this Saturday. We're having a crab boil for Nancy at her mom's tonight, and I'll take her out next week for her birthday. I did at least get her a card telling her how much I appreciate all the effort she's given for mom's party. That'll have to do, for now.

It's supposed to rain like crazy for the next couple days, but we could use it. I just hope it's cleared for mom's party this weekend.

Good morning, MMC!!

How are you all this morning?

I am pretty good, still catching up on sleep. I may take a nap today, If I can.

It is cloudy & foggy this morning, and 52 degrees. But, it's not raining!

I love the rain, but could use a break. We are missing out on precious deck time!

It's day four of hubby being gone, looking forward to him getting back this weekend.

Today, I need to start some laundry, do the dishes, study, walk Harlowe, and hopefully relax some too.

Would you believe it is supposed to be 109 F. on Friday? Ugh, ugh, ugh!!!

It IS awful. BUT I just heard that it will be 113 F. on Saturday!!! Triple UGH!!! I have to keep telling myself that, yes, fall is coming!!!

Good morning! Happy Friday Eve!! It's really cloudy here today but no rain forcasted until tonight - probably just the time we are wanting to start our bonfire at the lake!! Ah well! It was so dark yet at 5:20 this morning for our walk - usually it's getting pretty light by then, but not this morning! Cloudy ol day! Supposed to have a high of 75!

Good evening everyone! It's been a great day we are about 99% done with getting everything in place..we have a much smaller place which is what we wanted actually because it's easier to keep clean...Tomorrow makes my 20th year in the service and that issuch an important date..From the first day I enlisted I knew when I was 38 I would be eligible to rertire. ANd up until the last 2 years I was really planning too. But then life happened and I started havin kids and you know how it goes...nonetheless tomorrow is a huge day for me! 20 years have come and gone so fast. I plan on doing 4 more years and my retirement check will be a lot bigger too! I just wanted to share this with my friends here. I know they are going to have a big deal when I show up to work next Monday. I have met most of the people I am working with. I will be working with a few less people than I was in GA. Anyways I think I am going to take a nap because all thie moving has worn me out! have a good night everyone!

OOh, I might have to try to catch it tomorrow night. Think my hubby will put the big screen up at the lake for us?? Hmmm...

They are cute, aren't they? But they are driving us crazy!

I just wanted to say thank you to everyone that wished me good luck for today. It really means a lot to me. Everything went well, considering it was my first day. I have to admit I was a little intimidated. The office gets very busy and I was definitely overwhelmed but I know it is going to take some time before I get into the swing of things. I also was kind of frazzled when I got home because my chores were all backed up, lol. But I will get in to a routine. And it will be good for me, it will build my confidence. I really hope it all works out. I go back in tomorrow for a few hours, I will let you know how it goes :-D

Good luck today - day 2! You'll do great! The ducks ARE cute!

The marina opens (water is turned on) April 1st & closes (water is turned off) November 1st. Our trailer stays all year. It is a park model trailer, so it does have wheels under it, but they are flattened! We have skirting around the trailer & an attached awning, so would be a pain to move! Here it is all decorated for Christmas In July:

I got up this morning to see that Andrea is has strengthened and is now a Tropical Storm... Yup, looking outside I can see it for myself, our lake is now about 5 feet higher than it was 2 days ago and the rain, it is coming down by the buckets.

The weather channel has issued a tornado warning, flood watch and tropical storm warnings for Orlando now. But, it's not going to stop me, yeserday we went to Gatorland, while we were there, I got a chance to step inside they're enclosure and I got to feed the alligators and then we had some gator bites....last night we went to Disney's Magic Kingdom to the Polynesian and dined at the Kona restaurant. Afterwards, we went out to the beach, got some slushy drinks and watched the fireworks from across the lake; it was really nice and the rain held off until the fireworks were over...

Today, well being that we are getting hammered with the rain, winds and such... we are heading over to downtown Disney to do some shopping, nothing that wearing a poncho can't take care of... I'm here to have some fun and no Tropical storm is going to take the wind out of that; get it, take the wind out of it....Ha-ha-ha!

Alright, off we go to do some serious shopping... see ya all when we get back! Maybe I ought to take a bar of soap with me, and knock two things out at once; lol....
