Christmas Countdown - 2013

Hi, everyone! I am back!

I just finished one of my summer classes last week and now I have two more that are just starting. I am having a nice summer so far, except the weather hasn't been that great until recently. Regardless, I am just excited to not have to drive to campus and sit in class! That is the advantage to online classes.

I obviously have a lot of catching up to do, I don't even know where to begin! How is everyone and what's new? Anyone planning a vacation this summer? I am going on a cruise in August and I am so excited!

I am also really happy that I am back so I can be here for Christmas in July. I can't believe how fast time is flying - almost 6 months exactly until Christmas! I will just be happy when September gets here because that's when I really allow myself to get excited.

I am going to try to go and read back a few pages - or a few hundred haha. Wish me luck!

We plan to go up north, WI to the resort areas. Our friends own some property there, and so do my two uncles. We'll spend the days on the lake & shopping at some of the quaint little stores.

Adrian also wants to go to Door County & stay at some B & B's, and to hit some of the biking trails around there too! We may save a weekend in the fall for that, though.

We missed you around here, girl!!

Alrighty my dearest friends, How is everyone?!?!!?
I am Super! Been missing this place & have finally had a little bit of time for myself to cruise places I have been neglecting (so sorry )!
So i will share a bit of an update from my recently crazy life and answer (if wondering) where the heck i've been!

First off, back in November I found out my then Bf was cheating on me with someone I considered a close friend. Left him in the dust & never looked back along with her. London & myself moved back in with my parents, but after a taste of freedom and being 23.. I decided I did not want to live with my family. As great as they are and as much as I love them, I needed my space.. No disrespect to them, Very grateful they let me move back in.. just.. needed space hahahah
This may sound selfish, but I had decided that nothing was really holding me down in Port Alberni anymore, it was time to live life the way I wanted to live my life. I was pretty well at my lowest point last christmas, with a deadend, minimum wage job at walmart (which I never did get that promotion, a guy that had just been hired was offered it instead.. bahumbug), Newly Single, living with ma & pa... okay you get the picture I was a depressed mess hahaha. At the beginning of January, An opportunity had come up to move out of port & to nanaimo, in with a girl I have known since grade 7, her name is also Brittany hahaha! (talk about confusing our landlords, and... pretty well everyone else since it sounds like we talk in third person muahaha). I hopped at that opportunity & said Yes! (yes without having a job in Nanaimo, yes without having any $ saved.. yes I was nervous hahaha).

It was planned that i move down for Feb. 8/2013, so The job search began.. handed out Several resumes and got one call back, but was not to keen on what they had offered me, so I held out... until a friend messaged me one day asking if i still needed a job annnnnnd i sure did. Her employer needed a full time position filled! So in true Brittney form, I Travelled down to nanaimo the same day my friend asked me if I needed a job, without knowing if anyone would be able to talk to me that night, but decided I needed a job asap, so I needed to show initiative. January 21st I was hired on the spot as a Private Care-giver for a young woman with cerebral Palsy (and occasionally her twin sister). I had met her mother & herself, and after the interview, I was offered the position!!! Everything had fallen into place, however I was still living in Port at that time which is about an hour away and still employed at walmart! So for those next couple weeks I worked everyday & commuted an hr each way in between shifts! Family was VERY resistant on me moving out of town... and so were my friends, but I needed to change my life & now was the perfect time.

Okay, wow a bit of a novel so I will make this part a little quicker haha! **about a month later** after living in Nanaimo a couple weeks, I decided I needed to make some friends.. and Since I'm Socially awkward, I figured I'd check out a Dating site. I even put in my profile I was just searching for new friends to go out and do stuff with, NO RELATIONSHIP. WELL funny story, turns out when you find someone as amazing as I have... you end up in a relationship hahahaha
His name is Ryan, and he lives up North (yes long distance). We have met a couple times (he came and stayed in nanaimo, I travelled up north to Penticton for a Power Soccer tournament! <-- sooo cool, the young lady I look after plays!!). He is wonderful!! Treats me like an angel, and for the first time in my life... I can actually communicate easily with someone hahaha (I'll be the first to admit I am AWFUL at communicating my emotions, feelings etc). We have been together 4 months (on the first) and he is planning to move down to Nanaimo in October! In the short amount of time we have known each other... He has made me feel more beautiful and confident about myself, then I ever have before.. With all of these changes in my life, I am on top of the world with happiness. When you start living the way you want too, Everything around you just seems to start to match up and finds its way.
The only downer in my life is, since I am working Super full time hrs (95+) every two weeks... I decided it would not be a good choice for me to take london with me. Making that decision Broke my heart, but she is Living at my parents so I do take her sometimes & I go visit her.

I could go on and on and on.. But I think I will stop it here! Gave you guys quite the afternoon read hahah..

Oh 2 more things, I got a Little Mermaid Tattoo Sleeve on my Right Arm (mom was not impressed with that.. oopsies!) AND I have sent Christmas cards out!!! Hopefully they make it before christmas in July! but they have FINALLY been sent! Sorry for lacking on my sending of cards in the past couple years & sorry they are so late... Sigh... Wee bit embarassing, but they're coming!

No Hobby Lobby for us yesterday. We didn't get done at Home Depot in time. They took way to long to take care of Mom....wife said she was glad...she really wants to wait a couple of more weeks....

The anxiety is building.

Tonight....Fallen Skies and this dude walking across the Grand Canyon on high line wire....that takes some guts....
