Good Morning MMC!!!!!! It's going to be another hot and humid day here with a high in the upper 80's. It looks like we may see some rain this morning so at least we won't heat up as quick. Not much an my agenda for today. I just need to get some stuff done around the apartment. Exciting stuff!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

they got a months worth of rain in less than one hour, it happened so fast there was nothing anyone could do, flash flooding closed much of the subway system as well. This morning there are still roads flooded, sections of subway not running, some tracks washed away, it is a mess. If you can stay on the main arteries going past the city it is fine, it is more the downtown areas near the lake that are hardest hit.

Good grief! Stay dry and safe!

Good Tuesday morning everyone. Sorry I've been away for a while. It was a rough few weeks with my Mom that included long stays in 2 hospitals. She was near death at one point at her local hospital in Gastonia. Once we finally got her transferred to Wake Forest hospital, they were able to determine the problem and clear the intestinal blockage. We learned there is a clear difference in hospitals and doctors. She is now home with her colostomy working well but she also has a wound pump, a drain line from her right kidney, and a drain line from her small intestine. She can walk around her house but is still weak.

I can never catch up on all the posts but thank you all for your thoughts and prayers. Have a blessed day.

Thank you for the update. I'm sorry you both have to go through such distress. I'm glad they were able to deal with the problem. The hospital does make the difference sometimes.

Even though it's an overcast day, there's a nice amount of natural light. The building was a clock and watch factory built in the 1880s to take advantage of daylight.

We got an email from a friend of ours who's on vacation at Disney World. He was surprised to see a German-themed store all dressed for Christmas. I sent an email back introducing him to the concept of Christmas in July! I couldn't resist posting the photo---the shop looks beautiful.

The weather here in CT is a little less humid today but cloudy and chance of showers/t-storms this afternoon. My kids are off to day camp and I am working from home today! Nothing too exciting!

FYI; Yay, I solved the MMC and Internet problem with using Internet explorer!!!!

I was able to resolve the problem with the MMC website using Internet Explorer. Even though my computer had the box selected for automatic windows updates, it (Microsoft) did not automatically download and install the service pack 1 for windows 7 which therefore would not allow for an automatic update of windows Internet Explorer.

Once I did this "Important" update, the computer re-booted and everything worked fine....


The whole process took me about 2 hours to do~ I'm so happy, so very happy!:dance::dance::dance:
