This is what I am so bummed about today!! No more Chistmas movies to turn on at night on the Hallmark channel!!! :sad: I missed almost all of them this weekend too! 1 week is not enough... :-?

I cannot wait for our Christmas in July Party! People are even decorating for the special weekend. Go on over to the thread to check it out, Christmasstar has her picture of her decorations already out. Anyone else going to decorate? I leave out a few decorations out all year and plan to put a couple more small things out. Take a picture if you do and post over there: Christmas in July

Good Monday morning, my Christmas friends!

I had a great birthday yesterday. My mom make spaghetti, substituting turkey for ground beef. You couldn't tell the difference, and I love her spaghetti sauce. She simmers it all day with fresh tomatoes, onions, etc. Yum, yum! Oh, and I got a very cool Star Trek t-shirt!

I just realized my driver's license expired yesterday. These days, they want you life history to get a replacement. Birth certificate, SS card, copies of utility bills (to verify your address), etc. That's seriously crazy. And to top it off, I had lost my birth certificate some where along the way. Usually, that's not a big deal, but I was born in Germany while my dad was stationed there. So, I had to apply to the State Dept. for a replacement Report of Consular Birth Abroad form. It took forever (and a big check), but I finally got it last week.

I'll be glad when things settle down!

Well friends, another day and a another set of job rejections. I did not get the job I interviewed for last week, and got some emails regarding some other positions I had put in for. Trying not to get discouraged...I know something will turn up.

I do appreciate everyone's encouraging words and prayers when I went on that interview, though! You guys are awesome! cheesy

Well friends, another day and a another set of job rejections. I did not get the job I interviewed for last week, and got some emails regarding some other positions I had put in for. Trying not to get discouraged...I know something will turn up.

I feel for you, have been in that spot a few times in the last few years. I love my current job but wish it was more hours. I am also training to teach cake decorating classes to adults.
I got through this and so will you!

I've just been sent a little video about my shop which was made to show people all the unique stuff in our town. I'm really pleased with it and want to share!!. ( I have no interest in trying to push my business on here even though it is a christmas one, Ii just want to show people what i do. I hope that's ok?)

That definately does help! Just not the same as a good ol movie on tv & watching it "together" :grin: I'm thinking tonight I'll watch a Christmas movie on Netflix while walking on the treadmill. It's WAY too hot to walk outside!!
