yes, this picture of you was caught on a satellite ...Hey, everyone! I am here to stick around this time![]()
It went from being relatively cool here for the past week to now roasting again and needing the air conditioner. I stepped outside to go for a walk after it rained last night, and wow - overwhelming humidity! I don't know if anyone has ever watched Friends...but if you recall the Barbados episode where Monica's hair went poofy/frizzy - that was me after going outside
I am feeling a little bit better today. Just hoping it goes away before vacation. I am not really looking forward to the plane ride. I don't mind it when there are two seats across and I can sit next to my family member, but I hate three which this plane has. I always feel crammed and like I have zero space.
I still have so much packing to do...yikes!!! I am so afraid I am going to forget something, even though I made a list and have been crossing off as I go.
It's not a very good day here today, but checking in on the forum helps. Trying to look forward to the weekend, which is a sales tax holiday in Massachusetts. I think we'll take advantage of that to update our TV set---we're still using a non-digital, non-HD TV, but there are signs that the picture tube may be starting to go.
I'd like to be someplace else with all of you instead of here today. With mugs of cocoa around a large Christmas tree.
And with this post, Made is poster # 35,000. For his efforts, he wins two free tickets to the camel races in Virginia City, NV in September. Along with that, he gets to be the driver...err rider!!!
you know he is a part of this gang...You sneaky boy, you!!! You waited up just long enough to be the 35,000th poster. You knew those tickets would make their way somewhere in the major awards, LOL. You barely beat out Binger!
Is there a DVD edition of Scrooge you do recommend? It's been so long since I've seen it!
We are just having no luck with the rain. A mile up the street they got almost 2 inches of rain in a torrential down pour a little while ago. We got 4 sprinkles.
MMC convention would be so wonderful! There has been some posts about the desire for us to all meet around the Christmas tree, or sit around a fire with hot chocolate. That reminds me, this week I had another dream that there was an MMC convention. That's the second time in a month. They do always seem to come around Pines Day, so I may just need to lay off the drinks Carl mixes. Or, maybe we should just have a convention some day!
had a look on Google maps and wow is that place ever big! There is no way you could see it all in one day, looks like it takes 1/2 a day just to get there from the parking lot! Have fun!Going to bed soon today.....we gotta get up mighty early tomorrow....cos we are driving to Europa Park....Europe´s highest rated Amusement Park in Germany....close to Freiburg.....I heart this parc, since I have been there since I was little and it has grown so much since then and changed so much......awesome!!!!!!....Kandice can hardly wait.....and I am just the same!!!! I love parcs...roller coasters....everything about it....I will post pictures of it when I am back
Good afternoon, MMC!
I hope this finds everyone's day getting better!!!
Beautiful day out, but very noisy here in the woods. Turkeys, mourning doves, cardinals, deer and Shaggy are all talking up a storm - sometimes all at once! Lots of road traffic, too. Today I am working at home - cleaning stock and later doing the paperwork from last month. I have all the windows that will open downstairs open - love the fresh air circulating through the house!!!
Be safe and MERRY!!!
I am here.. wow I missed this place
I have a bit of an update - my dad passed away on June 5th, 2013 :-(
Peacefully with all (most) his kids around his bed. He actually opened his eyes for about 5 minutes--- he started to tear up and smiled at us...he took about 5 -6 breaths and then was gone. I could not believe how peaceful it was.
I miss him terribly as the he was in palliative care the last 3 months and I was there a lot...as much as I could with two small kiddos and a full time job ... oh and a hubby too.

she was my partner in the ornament exchange last year and with everything going on with my dad well I just didn't send it. I found it a few weeks ago and finally mailed it today.. I hope she can forgive me and that I am welcome here again.
so sorry to hear of the loss of your father, it is great that you were able to be with him as he left.

Good mid-morning everyone!
I woke up to a very cloudy sky and heavy rains. Weather forecast says it will rain all day therefore issued a flood warning. Guess we have to watch our small stream and the big lake.
My dads parents are planing to give my das his part of the inheritance. His older brother already has his part (he got the family house), the youngest got his part to build his own house. Now it is my fathers turn. They would like to buy a flat, as houses are waaaaayyyyyyyyy to expensive around here. They worry that if they get sick and have to go to a nursing home all their money (and dads part of the inheritance) will be used for they care. In our country this is part of the social system.
Now we have to look for affordable flats, which isn't exactly easy. We live in a pretty expensive area and can't just move to other places.
Could you pray for us? We hope for wisdom to make the right decision. Besides we try to calm our grandparents down, as they get pretty worked up. Really don't know what's the reason for all this stressing that's going on around here.
