You should have just put the bail money part and left the rest out. LOL!!! :lol;

I wish you could have been here too. I was disappointed in the chocolate store though. Their homemade peanut butter cups use to be huge!! Now they are about the same size as the big cup reese's and almost $10.

Why?

So you sound more tough guy-esque?!

We all know that already!! And that you're also a softy too! Haha!!

Awe...sounds like an awesome day in store for Made. Bet he has the same weather as me. Hope he brought a warm enough blankey!!

It was pretty darn chilly!! I had a big pile of firewood though so I stayed plenty warm enough.

I may need a new hammock though. I have a few new holes because of the embers from the fire.

Good morning all! It's a gorgeous day in Maryland-it feels like Fall! We're enjoying sunny, breezy, 69 degree weather and the sky is that deep, darker blue that you see in the Fall. We have the windows open here at work, trying to enjoy it as much as we can. I'm lucky...I get off work at 3:00, and then I get to stay outside for awhile. cheesy

Hope everyone else has a great day too. And good weather!

Sounds lovely, enjoy that beautiful weather!

I am so mad at myself for sleeping in today & missing out on this awesome walking morning! My walking partner texted that she wasn't coming, so I thought I would sleep an extra 20 minutes...which turned into an extra hour & 20 minutes. DARNIT!!! Guess I will have to get a run in tonight! Supposed to be chilly tonight too!! Have a great day!

We are supposed to drop down to the upper 50's tonight, chilly for August! Hope you can get your run in tonight!

It is already getting warm here in northern California. Hubby is in the back part of the house doing some demo work, taking down some sheetrock. I still have some more packing up to do, so I should get in there before plastery stuff is everywhere! TTYL

That construction dust makes me crazy, lol. Good luck with the packing!

I love going in the stores. Some items they sell are overly gory for my tastes. I enjoy spooky stuff for Halloween, but not disturbing and violent, if that makes any sense. There's far too much of that in the real world, in my opinion.

I agree with you!!!

WELCOME BACK!!! Sounds like you had a gret trip???

It was pretty fun!! Thanks!!!

Does camping in front of the television, watching the ballgame in your motor home late in the evening, count?

Nope. LOL!!!!!

Holiday- Happy Birthday to your Hubby and Sister!!!!

Star- Hope your knee is feeling better!!!

Okay, I did a quick scan of the posts to get caught up. Now I'm going to take a long hot shower and take a nap. See Y'all in a bit.

Homework on the first day!?! Teachers can be SO mean. Seawaters and the lovely Mrs. Ryan notwithstanding, of course :-P.

I am not a fan of homework on the first day of school. And my girls get summer assignments, that really aggravates them!

Tomorrow is my hubby & my sisters birthday! We are planning to go out to eat at a restaurant/tavern where my nieces boyfriend is singing/playing (guitar) - Friday I'm off work - heading to Put In Bay! Wew! What a week! My brother & his whole family are in Put In Bay now (they come home today) - I have been dog sitting for their Mini Yorkie while they have been gone. She is so sweet!!

Ha! Glad you didn't burn your bum!!!

I hope you were able to go out & enjoy it!! I stopped at my Mom/Dads at lunch. Was outside talking to Dad & I was almost a little too chilly!! Crazy!

Yes, I did! It's warm out with a stiff breeze that almost makes it chilly. Delightful! When the weather allows, I like to sneak out for a ten-minute walk after lunch at the office.

Welcome back, made!

Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

The city council was good enough to delay our monthly meeting, which is usually on the first Monday of the month, until yesterday. This allowed me to go on vacation without feeling too bad about missing a meeting. Not that we usually have much super-important business in Bellville, but sometimes we do. There actually is a very nice retirement village going up soon on the edge of town, and we're negotiating with the other towns to provide sewer, gas and other services that they'll require. I've seen the plans, and it'll be a beautiful place & a wonderful sight to see when entering Bellville from the east.

Enough about that. The temperatures are supposed to moderate a bit this week. It's actually supposed to be in the low 80's this weekend. WOW!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Being that I am in the engineering field (plumbing, gas and Fire Protection), I see alot of communicating that goes back and forth between the owners of a prospective new building and the local utility companys like Constellation Energy, Washington Gas, Pepco, etc... and in certain cases, arrangements can be made and agreed upon where the utility companys will install the infrastructure as long as there is a guaranteed amount of consumption of that utility at the owners end. It sort of becomes a win/ win situation between the two parties.

Also, the are alot of incentives out there and rebates that utility companies will give if the owners consturct a Green building or say one that is a LEED certified building. But the downfall to that is that there usually is an increase of the construction budget of almost 50% for going with a green building, but the owner should recoup that in energy savings over the next 10-50 years depending on the system and building.

Just thought I would share....:-D

I got another early start again this morning 4:15am and I went out the front door had to turn back around and go back inside to get another shirt. Wow, it was surprisingly chilly this morning, I loved it... Makes me think of Fall, pumpkins, pie, crisp apples, bon fires, etc... I'm ready for it~

I got a little chuckle today, I had to go down to Alexandria Virginia to survey a school and boy, when I got there, I never have seen so many teachers with such sullen looks on their faces, in one place, in my entire life...I guess they had the back to school blues!

I really don't blame them, I remember as a kid, it kinda stinks when summer vacation is over and you have to go back to school....

Last night, my daughter and I went back to Yankee Candle and we bought some of the 2013 Boney Bunch collection, candle accessories for my wife. Some of her birthday presents for her birthday next week. The store owner told me that she is already selling out and have already sold out some of the item in the 2013 collection already.

She also tipped me off that the main part of the Christmas stuff should be arriving by the beginning of October with some misc items trickling in before that.

That's part of our negotiations now. Bellville doesn't have city sewers, so nearby Claxton will bring theirs if the retirement village uses Claxton gas. I think we all have an agreement.

There you go, and once that happens Bellville will then have natural gas avialable in the future.....

:hi: I have to laugh at my own posting here, (the typing in previous posts). You know something, it's funny how your just typing along, just blabbing, and you make a post/ post it here, and then you read it. It's amazing how some of the words you spell just don't look right and the ones you think that do, are just as wrong...

I'm telling you, I just had to break out webster's again just to back check myself after the fact. I have made it a practice to keep an edition at work and at home just in case~cheesy

I came across a recipe online for individual miniature pumpkin pies baked in a muffin tin. I posted it here.

I'm not a big pumpkin pie/pumpkin spice fan myself, but I know a lot of you are!
