Good Morning, everyone! Welcome to the weekend!

As you may have read, Crown is on a well deserved vacation until Monday morning, Coincidentally, Crown's return also marks our next milestone. Fitting, isn't it? Until then, I will be gladly filling in for the Big Guy. Wait. Gender neutral, and despite the fact that Crown brings us the gift of the countdown every morning, I am pretty sure that he is not Santa.

Where to go from here? Oh. To the countdown!

Days to the Season: 60
Days to Christmas Day: 102
Now we are a mere TWO days away from under from cutting the tape on our final window, the 100-day Christmas Day Milestone. What does that mean, you ask? We will be double dipping in double digits! Sounds wonderful, doesn't it? To celebrate, I double dare you to double-y enjoy your weekend!

It's a chilly morning in Upstate New York - yes, I am in Rochester for the weekend - the temperature currently sits at a chilly and cloudy 50F/10C. Not to worry, highs will reach a seasonable 64F/19C. And that's with sunshine! I bet we'll be smelling that cool and crisp Autumn air all day! Wherever you may be, I hope the weather permits you to get out and enjoy your Saturday!

Have a Stunning Saturday, friend. After all, the weekend only comes once per week!

AWESOME post Brent!! Thanks!!! It was so pretty at the lake yesterday morning w/ the steam coming off the water. Brrrrrrr.... LOVED IT! I held off from turning on the furnace though (turned on the EdenPure) even though I was looking so fwd to the smell of turning on the furnace for the 1st time of the year!!
:cold:

Thanks for all the good thoughts everyone. Niece is home with us and recuperating

That is the most Yabba ever.

So glad to hear it! Thanks for the update!!!

Brad, just got an email from Checks in the Mail offering three types of Star Trek checks. Thought you might like to check it out.

Good Sunday Afternoon!!! I am way far behind on the posts, but slowly trying to catch up!! It is a gorgeous day in Ohio. I have the Browns on tv (they HAVE to beat the Ravens!) - I'm at the lake - just me & Buster! Jim already headed home b/c he is going to a 50th Wedding Anniversary open house with his sisters. (the outlaws aren't going) :D (that's ok, b/c I don't feel like dressing up today!) The open house is for people who were their neighbors when they lived at home w/ their parents. Cheers to 50 years!!

I am excited - I just planned a "60th birthday bike ride & dinner" for my brother who passed away last year. He would be 60 on Wednesday - Sept. 18th. He was a big bike (bicycle) rider! (also motorcycle, but that's another story...lol) I texted all my brother/sister/nieces/nephews/parents & invited them to our trailer at the lake Wed night & they will have to pay $$$ (donate whatever they want) to ride the bike path & dinner after - the $$$ will go to Mike's Scholarship fund at WSU! I am making a BBQ Chicken Lasagna (they will be guinea pigs) & I'm not sure what else. (pending what everyone brings) It will probably take more than 1 pan of lasagna, so I will make another type of lasagna too - maybe buffalo chicken or Mexican lasagna or just plain ol lasagna - or maybe spaghetti?!? I'm really looking fwd to it. And I told them if the weather is good & anyone wants to stick around, we'll have movie night - watching a movie on the big screen!! YAY!!! AND I think I'll use a vacation Wednesday too - early morning walk, coffee on the patio, then I'll start cooking! Who else is coming???
:???:

I'm off to read posts...I hope you are all having a GREAT weekend!!!!

What a lovely idea in memory of your brother hope its s good night

last batch of icing mixed, it has to sit for at least 2 hours before I can use it.
So the last tier will be done an in the freezer before I go to bed tonight.
Starting to rain now, looks like we will get lots of it tonight.

Hello everyone! We woke up to temperatures in the 50's this morning but it will warm up to the mid 70's today. I have a pot of sauce simmering on the stove, I'm going to pick up some fresh raviolis for dinner. My husband wants to take a break from car shopping today. He has lots to do around the house and promised my daughter he will take her to look at more cars tomorrow after work. The girls and I are heading out to do some clothes shopping at the mall. I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!

Sounds like so much fun! I haven't been shopping for a while now - wouldn't mind doing some, heh. ^^ Hopefully you had a superb day.

That must be why I can't see it in your album! For some reason, I got the message that there is no album and there are no photos in a lot of the albums!!!

Is that so? That's weird. I re-uploaded the picture, and as other people can see it, I hope you can do it too.

Not sure about everybody else, but we have almost 11.30pm here now and I'm heading to bed. I need to wake up earlier than usual tomorrow so I can't stay very late tonight. Nighty night and very merry dreams to everyone!

Tim was here yesterday and we spent all afternoon (and a good part of the evening and night) together. He left early this morning (just after 7). I miss my Tim so much!! :-(

oh!!! I have a friend who just went (with her 3 sons and husband) and 'tagged' the Christmas tree they'll be getting in December. Yup, already people can put in orders!!

Tree picking sounds like a lot of fun!!

Made, hope your team's day is better than my team's day....

I wish it was. They had a chance with a minute left to win it and the offensive line just couldn't keep Miami away from Luck. So they lost 24-20.

Hopefully the Bronco's pull it off though!!!

Whew! Just got back from a drive to Brighton. Our workplace will be doing two hours of volunteer service for a charity there on Thursday, and I'm not familiar with the area, so I printed out a Google Map and set out with Mr. Of course, I got lost. Well, the map said a certain street was the second left, and it turned out to be the first right ... huh?! I found my way there and back home again, but I don't know if I'll find it again on Thursday!

I have two nice afghans here that my MIL no longer has space for. They're freshly laundered, but they're used and show a little wear. I don't have space for them either, but I hate to think of tossing them out. (That's sunshine, not a stain, on the green one.)

That's why I love the last scene in Christmas Story when Mom and Dad are sitting in the living room and the music comes on. It is so peaceful!

I love that scene, too!! The tree is amazing!!

I want to come, too!!

so glad you had a nice visit.
Tagging your tree makes sense, doing it while there is no snow to plow through or hide what the tree really looks like is better.

those are so nice, why not give them to a local women's shelter if you have one?
