Christmas Countdown - 2013

How special with your white Rudolph Day! It is funny but we had a foggy Rudolph Day. I asked the kids about the significance of the date. Then we talked about ..."then one foggy Christmas Eve..." We did some Christmasy stuff the whole day!!! One of the things we did was to work on a logic problem where the kids are given clues and have to figure out which character owns which reindeer and what the character's favorite drink is. The characters were Santa Claus, Mrs. Claus, DePendent Claus, Mr. Frostbite Snowman, and Mrs. Frostbite Snowman. One of the clues was: Mrs. Claus does not like the fog and has a reindeer who is able to see through it. His nose glows just like a traffic signal. We had a lot of fun. The pages we did today were all educational, believe it or not!

That is so cool!! Why couldn't I have a teacher like you?! How fun!!!! Xo

Our big snow event, all we got out of all the hype, was an inch...and that's it. I'm bummed! :sad: Old man winter must of ran out of gas as he crossed over the mountains.... At least it covered the ground just a little bit....

Well, we still have February....Maybe you will get some snow yet !! xo

I got home from work early today (because I worked so late last night), and found that the wife is sick as a dog. She works in the hospital and she contracted the Norwalk virus. poor girl, I'm feeling for her (at a distance)!

I mean she's go it bad. Her supervisor in her lab called and told her not to come in to work because everyone has it there! I'm thinking to myself, "great", it'll be a matter of time now.... I grabbed a hand sanitizer and put in my pocket so that I can keep using it...

It's very pretty, but the roads are slippery. Running errands today, can't wait to get home & walk Har in the snow =]

Now I am going to think of Palmer as the Cat Impossible!!! Kiss both those sweet babies for me!

I cry sometimes, too ~ I hate that there are days she is in so much pain. Palmer is a hoot. When she is playing and stalking something, usually a paper ball, I hear the theme from Mission Impossible ~ her moves fit that music perfectly. I agree, I am lucky to have them!
