Hello folks. I ordered a DVD of the movie "Monster Squad" and should be getting it soon. It was one of my favorite Halloween movies as a kid, and I'm curious to watch it again.

I hope you all have a great might. Wonder what Carl will do for the first Pines of October?

Rumor has it as Halloween gets closer he's going to have a haunted house there at the Pines, but that's not until later in the month.

We bought The Monster Squad on DVD a few years ago, it brought back so many memories, and sophomoric humor. "Wolfman has..." cheesy

I hope you still love it, I appreciate it more as an adult now, plus a read somewhere they want to remake that movie.

Happy October 1. Sure sounds good. The only downer is we are having a warming trend with highs in upper 70s but should be better next week with forecast highs in upper 60s / lows in mid 40s.

Like Ryan, I hope to enjoy this season more. It will be our last Christmas season before our son goes off to college. October looks to be a fun month. Ethan (my son) and I are going to game 1 of the baseball NLDS in Atlanta Thursday. He will miss some school but he will remember this longer than anything that happens in school Thurs afternoon/Fri morning. A group of us men and sons from our church will be camping at Cades Cove in the Great Smoky Mtn National Park on Saturday the 26th. We will then meet the wives and the rest of our church for Sunday service at one of the old churches in the park. I am really looking forward it.

My parents are hanging in there. We know they will not get any better but for now they are stable and able to live at home. We pray it stays that way at least through Christmas.

Let's pray that the government shutdown is over by then. The national parks are all closed now because of it.

My family drew names for our stocking stuffers on Saturday. We are right on schedule!

My little family is getting excited because we leave for Disney World on Friday after work/school (fall break next week). The daily grind is stressful, even for DD who is 8 years old & in third grade. It takes everything she has to stay focused & remember everything she needs to do, bring home, etc. She sleeps like a rock every night! We all need this trip. We only have three meal reservations, otherwise, we are going to relax & go with the flow on this Disney vaca.

Once vacation is over I can start figuring out how/when to buy gifts for Christmas.

Good Morning all my friends. So glad to see the day is October 1st time to kick it in to major overdrive toward best time of year. IN the last week or so everyone is getting tired of me singing Christmas Music lol. Told them it is only going to get worse once Oct 1st hits.

Not too much to report this week other than only month and a few days before the three of us take our first family vacation. We can't wait and this will also be the first Vacation for me and the wife since we got married over 7 years ago. Which also means Oct 6th is our anniversary Yikes better get in gear or the wife will kill me if don't have that date night perfect lol.

Home form work, I like short shifts!

My oldest is so excited, she got on full time at another hotel where she has worked before and really likes working at. In tow weeks she starts there. The pluses are full time, more money and straight days!! So happy for her.

Have to do some running around, talk to you all later.

I think the time has come for me to hit the hay. My headache just won't shake and looking at the bright computer screen isn't helping. Just watching Gremlins before bed, love the Christmas music and scenery in it.
