Dear Christmasstar, I am sorry to hear of your pets passing, I'm sure it's tough for a while. You did the best thing for your pet, they expect us to be responsible for them and to make the right decisions.
But I want to congratulate you on the baby.......blessings from above.

Had a fun evening with Mr. watching a spooky-mystery-comedy film, much better than I thought it would be! Getting ready for bed. The weekend always goes too fast! But we both have next Monday off for Columbus Day. Isn't the 14th also Thanksgiving in Canada, or am I off by a few days?

MerryCarey, you hit it right on target. Our Canadian Thanksgiving always falls on your Columbus day, so I never miss it.

I'm getting ready to meet other Lithuanian girl at 'Starbucks' to discuss ideas for the international evening the society is having in few weeks time. I saw a message on 'facebook' that Pumpkin Spice Latte had finally been introduced here, in the UK on Thursday so I guess it will be a perfect chance for me to try it for the first time. ^^ What a nice way to start the week. :] Have a nice day, and I will see you all in the evening!

I am going to be super busy today. I just remembered that I have a neurologist appointment this morning. I really don't want to go, I have so many other things to do before I go in to work. I rescheduled my last two appointments though so I need to go today. I'm going to walk the dogs as soon as everyone is off to school and work and then get dinner started in my crock pot. I guess I'll have to catch up with my chores later today.
I will "see" everyone later tonight.

Good Afternoon MMC Gang!

How are you?

I had a great weekend! Saturday the weather was very rainy and foggy, so I didn't feel ashamed watching TV all day. Our offical state TV channel was sending live from our biggest airport. They showed many interesting parts. Over all it was an amazing show. I liked flying and planes before but now I like it even more.

Yesterday the weather was more or less the same and I spend the day working on my travel journal. I got farther than I thought I would and I'm very happy about it.

My work day has been very busy so far, I'm just taking a short break. Anyway a week from today Im having a week holiday. Really looking forward to it.


Was anyone affected by the snow storm? I saw pictures from South Dakota and it looked like deep winter.

Weather forecast says we will have a big temperature drop around thursday. The temperature will only be around 48°, snowline will drop to about 1000-800 meters above sea level. Guess winter wants to say hello!

Last year we had the first snow in our village on October 28th.

Where did the week go? I could use another couple of days to catch up on things. Tomorrow is going to be a long day. Working and running errands. Will be glad when Sunday comes around as all I have to do that day is clean house and prep tomatoes for freezing or can them if I buy more jars tomorrow. The walnuts are falling fast and furious and am trying to get as many as I can cleaned and dried. Slow process but well worth all the effort. Black walnuts have a stronger taste than the walnuts available in the store so you don't have to use as many in recipes. They are so good!

More tasks to finish for the store yet this evening - the busy months are here and I need to get as much ready as possible since I don't know what I need to fill in stock-wise. When I catch up on those tasks I am going to read for a bit. Started Juliet the other day. It is very good and I can't wait to get back into it.

Today was an absolutely horrible day at work, just going to pack it away and forget about it. No premiere for me, another day at the "funhouse" for me, and Sunday we are going to a party, which I am disappointed by. I have been looking forward to the Bengals game since it will actually be on TV around here because they are playing the Patriots. I really hope they beat them, and now I am going to miss the game.

I think I am going to find something for dessert and relax.

I am so tired! I am going to turn in soon, I'm just waiting for my daughter to get home. The training went well today. I didn't get to do too much, I watched a few videos and filled paperwork out. I'm going back tomorrow for a few hours for more training. It was a bit hectic when I got home but I expected that. I'm just not use to being out of the house for that long and falling behind on all of the things that I do around here. But I'm sure I will get in to the swing of things. I am super excited because they sent me home with several votive candles to sample. I didn't open the bag until I got home and was delighted to see some Christmas scents in the bag. They gave me Season of Peace, Merry Marshmallow, Celebrate Christmas, Snowflake Cookie, Christmas Cookie, Sparkling Cinnamon, and Balsam & Cedar. I feel like I just received an early Christmas gift!!! The store smells amazing. I know it might sound strange but I feel like my mood lifted as soon as I walked in the store. I think I'm going to like it there!

Good evening everyone! It's very late here right now but I've just got back from wonderful concert of 'Boyan Ensemble of Kiev'. Despite the fact that I hadn't heard of it before, I really enjoyed the concert. It took place at the church of my university campus, and the director of the campus had offered free tickets for students so I decided to take the chance! :] The first half of the concert was very peaceful and relaxing because the ensemble performed religious songs and carols. The second half was more entertaining because it was consisted of well-known classical songs and, most importantly, of Ukrainian folk songs. I saw Ukrainian folk songs listed on the concert's leaflet and I wondered how it was going to sound like. Surprisingly, it sounded really great and fun. :] Unfortunately, I couldn't take any pictures because we sat at the back of the church. (At the time we arrived, the church was already pretty full so we couldn't find any empty seats in the front. Oh well.) I'm know having my tea, and I hope everyone is having a nice Saturday!

It sounds like it was a great concert. Do you know if they sell any CDs?

Hey gang! Been a few days since I've been here last...but we had a busy few days....

We had to go back to the dr. on Wednesday for the baby....a little checkup...nothing major....and then Thursday I had ballgame duty...when I got home...my wife was in tears and our oldest dog was terribly sick....we had to take him to the vet and have him put down. It's ok. I don't know if many of you remember, but it's been two years since he was diagnosed with congestive heart failure...and that's quite a long time to stay alive with that. He was 11...

He was there when I coached my first game, he was there when I coached my last. He was there when we met Dr. Wifey...and he was there when I proposed. He was there when we found out we were going to have a baby...and he was there when we brought her home. It was almost like he was just waiting to see her get here....to know she was ok and that we were going to be ok. I hated having to make that decision, but that is part of my job as his companion....to make the difficult decisions that will keep him comfortable. It was peaceful, we got to say goodbye....and Dr. Wifey kissed him as he went to Rainbow Bridge.

It has been a tough few days, but my brother and his wife came down to meet the baby....so that has kept us busy. Little girl is growing like a weed...and between chaning diapers, feeding, and holding...I've been swamped....but I sure do love it.
