We are down, almost, to the one week count until Halloween. Anyone going to watch scary movies between now and then? If so, which ones? I think we are going to watch the Conjuring this weekend.

Took this on the way to work this morning

Star- I see your tree's and raise you one of my own

Beautiful pics CS & Made!

gingerbread house competition this year theme is "an old fashioned Christmas"
I have a month to plan and build it. So excited, this is always so much fun

Oooh, can't wait to see pictures!!

just finished baking all the pieces for a small gingerbread house (not for the competition) My house smells so nice now!

Mmmm - I bet it did! I baked another pumpkin last night & the house smelled sooo good! One more pumkin (one more night of a yummy smelling house) to go!

Good morning,

Work will be beckoning for me soon enough, but I really don't know if I will be going. I am having some back spasms that are really limiting my mobility right now, I did take some pain medication so I hope that will help. If I do make it to work, I have a lot of administrative stuff to do today. We never made it to the pumpkin patch yesterday, it started to rain right before it was time to go. I don't know when we will be heading out or if we will at this point. I don't have another day off until Tuesday the 29th.

I am really getting to get into the holiday spirit now, seeing the snow pictures really made me realize how I am so looking forward to the music being on, the shows and movies on, and especially the decorations. I am so excited about it. Woooohoooo!!!!

Hope the back feels better soon!!!

Of course! This week we've watched "Hold That Ghost" (Abbott & Costello), and last night we saw "The Mysterious Mr. Wong" (Bela Lugosi). More to come! We haven't screened that new DVD of the restored "The Devil Bat" yet! (more Bela Lugosi)

P.S. Ryan---Don't forget to let us know what you think of "Double Door."

I forgot to wrote this in my earlier post, my oldest is starting to question the existence of Santa Claus.
When my wife was getting ready to leave for work this morning, he kept asking her if she is really Santa Claus. Her response was classic, "Do I look like a jolly fat guy?" But he kept asking if she was the one that brought the presents.
I knew this wasn't going to last forever, but it is really sad that my oldest is starting to not believe in Santa anymore. I truly believed until I was 13-14 years old. I don't want to tell him yet, I was hoping to get through one last Christmas with him truly believing. Hopefully he won't question it again for a little while, but reality is coming and we must let him know probably sooner rather than later.
This has really upset me, I am not ready for him to not believe anymore. I just really don't want him to ruin it for his little brother. I still believe in Santa Claus, and I need to let him know that Santa was a real person and we have to keep his legacy going.

I am going to have to pick up the book "The Santa Club" that was reviewed here a few years ago, and let him read it to try to not ruin it for his brother. http://christmasfinest.com/2011/09/10/book-review-the-santa-club/

I enjoy watching the Halloween series, especially part one & two!

I always have Fear Fest on, even if it's just background noise.

We plan to watch The Exorcist & Rosemary's Baby this week, possibly The Omen, too.

That has to be tough, but I think you've got the right idea on how to continue to instill your beliefs in the boys. Thinking of you.

Good luck!!

I will always believe!!!!

Good evening, friends!!

Hope you all had a wonderful day!!

Adrian & I had fun- we went to a pumpkin patch & corn maize this afternoon, then out for pizza & homemade root beer. It was a blast!!

Here are a few pics from our adventure:

pypahe6e.jpg

It was a brisk day! It was in the low 30's, and after being outside for a few hours, we could barely feel our fingers & toes!

Have a nice evening!

xx

Looks like SO MUCH FUN!!!! Glad you had such a great time!!!

Hello everyone!

How are you all??

Sorry I haven't been on much lately but been pretty busy for the last while!

I heard an advert on the radio today about Christmas and it reminded me of my friends on here

Nice to see you irishsnow! Hope you can visit more often!!

Earlier this evening LC and I ran to Rite Aid to pick up a prescription, and he fell in love with a 3 foot nutcracker. He was begging me to buy it for his nutcracker collection, saying to me ask the lady if we can buy it for $2 please. He just absolutely loved it at first sight, I think we have found a Christmas present for him.

Here he is hugging it:

In case any of you don't know my 5 year old loves nutcrackers, he has a small collection but he is always wanting to add more.
The ornament doesn't fall far from the Christmas tree.

SO CUTE!!!

Good Morning MMC Gang!

How are you? I hope everyone is alright!

I'm busy because we have our annual trade fair tomorrow. Each year we invite as many manufacturer to have stands at the fair, to advertise their newest products. The fair is popular with our customer (specially because we also have a party after the fair with free food and drinks for everyone). The week before the fair and the one after is always very busy. I'll relieved once the fair is over.

Have a great time at the fair tomorrow. Hope it all goes very well!!

Good luck with the fair! :]

Good morning! I wish everyone a nice day! No field trip for me today, only 4 hour long lecture. ^^ It looks like it's going to pour again today. Oh well.

Best wishes!

Hope your day is better than expected!!!

wow, looks so pretty, then of course I do not have to shovel it! Is it still snowing?
Our weather report says we may be getting wet flurries this afternoon or tonight!

The good thing about this snow is it didn't stick to the driveway, roads, or sidewalks! They were just wet. So were my feet after my walk! It was snowing like crazy when I 1st started walking, but by the time I was finished, the snow was pretty much finished too! (6:30am'ish) I hope you get to see some snow later on!!

I need to rewatch the original as it's more suspenseful than gory if I remember correctly. It's been a while though.

My 2 oldest niece's are starting to question it too. The one here I've been working on and I think she is okay for now. My niece in seattle is just to grown up for age with everything that she has been through though and I don't think there is any convincing her other wise.

Boo!!!! You stole my snow!!! 15 miles north of me got a dusting like that and if you keep going north, there are some area's that got as much as 2 inches.

HEY! I didn't steel your snow!!! If you were being a good boy, maybe you would have seen some snow too!!!!!! cheesy

Good Wednesday morning, my Christmas friends!

The excitement has dissipated this morning. I think everyone realizes the kid just spoke out of anger before he thought about it. I hope he doesn't get on too much trouble.

Today is my weekly trip with Nancy to take the kids for dance & guitar lessons, then Wal-Mart...ever Wal-Mart. Sigh.

On the bright side, we might get a frost this weekend! Not sure, but it's supposed to be in the upper 30's in Savannah, and it's always a few degrees cooler inland. Hope so!

Y'all have a great day!

I hope today is much less eventful at work!! Hope you get to see some frost this weekend!

Good morning!
I just got back from walking the dogs. I'm going to get started on some chores soon. Then I'm going to the gym for orientation. My daughter showed me around the other day but I want to go to this anyway. I'm sure I'll learn something new.
We have one appointment this afternoon, my youngest has a dentist appointment. We have a new dentist that we go to. We don't have dental insurance so we have always paid out of pocket for everything. I found someone that discounts the prices for people who do not have insurance. I was paying $400 for a cleaning and xrays at my old dentist, here I pay $125. I had to have a filling a couple of weeks ago with this new dentist and the cost was $270 but he brought it down to $115 for me. We are saving so much, I wish I found him sooner!
Anyway, not too much else going on today. I'll head home after the dentist to make lasagna for the family. Chicken and veggies for me. Boo!
I hope everyone is well and has a wonderful day!!!

UGH - the dentist!! Nice that you found one to offer discounts though!!! Hope the appts go well!

So beautiful to see snow, you are lucky.

I was so excited when I saw it this morning I couldn't go back to sleep! Our electric blinked at 4:45 am - I heard devices beeping in our house like they do when power goes out & then back on & my 1st though was "is the snow getting so heavy it's sticking to the lines??" So I jumped out of bed to look out the window & HOLY SMOKES! Everything is white! So I got out my camera.... :D

I hope the Aleve helps & you have a good day at work! Bummer you couldn't make it to the pumpkin patch. But now it's something to look fwd too...
