Baristas young and pert who blend and grind

I put my trust in them to clear my mind.
Their pleasant banter pierces morning haze;
Caffeine induced, I’m sure, but I don’t care.
Undaunted by my sullen, grumpy daze,
They serve my cup of joe without despair.
It shames me now to think that this first draught
Is what I need to greet the day with joy,
That change is all I have to praise their craft,
That their spirit is what I should employ.

The kids were so funny. They heard that the teachers and staff were going to have a party for me tomorrow. My little kiddo who is getting the Student of the Month award tomorrow said, "Parties are for happy times. Why are they giving you a party for going away? That's not a happy time." I started laughing and said, "It is for me!!!" Then I quickly added that it was happy for me because I could travel and do lots more other fun things. So cute! I wonder what Giordan would have said if he knew that he will be having a happy time on Thursday?

When I got home from work, Hubby had the doors and windows open. Perfect spring-like weather. Beautiful. Then it started getting cooler as the sun began sinking. I just wish we would get some snow before spring!

I am feeling pretty whipped, too. My kiddo who is getting the award was coughing quite a bit this week, and right now, I feel a little congested. Hopefully it will go away quickly! I am yawning a lot, and it is not even 6 p.m.
