Good Christmas morning my merry friends!
Well. Its official. My house OUTSIDE is decorated and the lighting of the house lights happened last night. I took yesterday off to do it. I had to work an hour and a half on friday but that was fine. I headed out to walmart and bought 2 boxes of old school lights. I have always wanted to put them on my house. Well I cant do a lot this year because hydro is going up this month yet again (sheesh). So I pulled out the ladder, loaded up the Christmas Vacation theme on my phone and started decorating. The Santa is the newest addition to my Christmas collection this year! YES I set my timer and watched them light up last night. My Wife thinks its crazy but I saw all the cars slow down to look. It was simply AWESOME. Here are the pictures!

Oh man that totally blows me away. I don't think that I have ever seen anyone decorate the outside of their house on November 1 ever before, so this is a first. I love it, like the big lights. I use them as well on my outside decorations as well - the traditional look is coming back.
Good morning everyone, It's Saturday; Yea..... I'm sitting on the couch watching "Christmas with Holly" on the Hallmark channel, sipping on a hot cup of coffee, while waiting for Vicki to wake up upstairs. This is my first Christmas movie of the season, so here we gooooooo~
Yup, she's home for the weekend for her brothers birthday this weekend and then she will be home again next weekend for her and my birthday next weekend. I'm sooooo happy when she's home from school.....
We are going to spend the day out running around, taking her for a haircut, shopping, lunch, etc... So, hope you all have a splendid day:!!

Elizabeth is getting ready to go to Nutcracker practice, then later this evening, Nancy and I are going out on a date. It's been a while since we've been out alone...don't wait up! The kids are going out to my mom's.
I won't get a chance to work on the Camaro again this weekend. I just know Jim thinks I've given up on the project. But, it's been an extra busy couple of weeks around here. We started on the car at Christmas last year...almost a year ago! I was sure we'd be driving by now. Oh well.

Between Mr. and I, we specialize in "less well known." So yes, dozens of our favorites are not well known. Between 1999 and 2008, we compiled ten annual CDs of funny/very old/rare Christmas recordings to send to our friends, and we collected quite a bit of unusual stuff. The 1400 on my iPhone don't include our LPs and cassettes that haven't been digitized.
But our collection is nowhere near the size of RadioJonD's! His is legendary!

Im in PA visiting family, and I just moved to the mountains of NC and Im sooooo excited to get home and decorate for my very first Country Mountain Christmas! Of course this has me re-thinking my entire deco scheme...but Im confident I will be up and christmas-sy by the end of next week!!
