His name is Zloty. It's actually a Polish currency but I think it sounds cute, and I don't know any other dogs under this name.
I don't think I have ever posted a picture of my dog, have I?
This is his latest picture which I took in September, the last time I was at home. It's not the best picture but he was very cheeky at that time so... ^^

Good evening! I hope that everyone had a relaxing Saturday. :]
I received an e-mail saying that I have been offered a position to volunteer at Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games this summer!
It was announced that all the offers will be sent out by the end of November. Once December begun, I stopped expecting for my offer. However, the actual e-mail came yesterday, so I was very surprised when I found it in my inbox. And very exciting too! The competition for voluntary positions was very fierce. There were around 65,000+ applicants overall, and 25,000 of them were invited for the interview. I attended mine in late July, and now there will be 15,000 volunteers. It is gonna be a HUGE sport event! I also found out that my Scottish friend is also going to volunteer, so I am happy about that too. I am actually quite proud of myself for leaving so many other applicants behind and becoming the one of those lucky 15,000 who will contribute towards organizing such a significant event!
I am sorry for quite a long post but my excitement is now over the top. ^^
Anyway, I will try to go to sleep because it is nearly midnight here.

I am exhausted! What a day. We were slammed at work, busier than Black Friday.
I close again tomorrow night.
Still feel under the weather, but am holding my own. I may go to the doctor on Monday, just to be safe.
How was your Saturday? What are your plans for today?
I am going to work on more Christmas cards before work, and catch up on more laundry too. Sounds like fun!!

So we begin the 2nd half of Christmas Season 2013.

Indeed it did. And it serves as a warning about how fast the 2nd half will go. Don't delay those plans and preparations!
Days to Christmas Day: 17 (Now UNDER 2 1/2 weeks to go!)
Gee. What a difference a day makes.
From the 70's on Friday to the mid 40's for our high yesterday.
But no matter. We had a great time getting our tree, poinsettia and lunch at Logan Trading Company. Nice outing with my sister and niece.
(Got the tree all decorated this evening, too!)
We have 37 degrees here right now with the promise of continuing cold weather into the foreseeable future.

Christmas Party Day!!!
Good Sunday morning, my Christmas friends!
The Christmas in Claxton celebration got rained out last night, but not before we had a great Christmas parade. As soon as the parade ended, it started pouring. I ( and my trusty HUGE umbrella) spent the rest of the evening helping unprepared families and elderly people get back to their cars without getting soaked...I mean without them getting soaked LOL. It's a shame, because so many groups had put together booths, selling food and Christmas necklaces, etc. Oh well, there's always next year.
Today, after church, we're heading to Savannah to do some shopping, then we're off to the Bethlehem/Nativity experience. I'm really starting to look forward to that. I was complaining earlier this week about agreeing to doing too many things again this year, and not being able to enjoy the season. But, upon reflection, the Nativity IS the reason for my season. Maybe I should skip a parade or two, instead of complaining about this, eh?

what a shame about the rain, I marched in a parade one year where it poured the entire time, not much fun.

We are having our children's pageant at our church this morning, looking forward to seeing that. Decorating the tree afterwards and then enjoying the party here.
I have to go, LittleCS is the sound person at church this morning and she needs to be there early to set everything out and check all systems.

I have an awful headache this morning. I had to get out of bed to start some chores. I also had to fry meatballs and get a pot of sauce started for dinner. I think I'm going to take something for the headache and lay back down for a little bit. I will be back later. I hope everyone has a great day!
