Good morning, MMC! I hope that you are all well this morning. I don't even want to think about a week from today - YUCK!!! I am just happy to spend the time with my family and enjoy the baking, movies, and Christmas carols!

What do you all have planned for today? That's aside from work, of course! I have a few more presents to wrap and we are going to bake a cookie or two. We already have them mixed up, we just have to put them on baking sheets and pop them into the oven. We made pizzelles yesterday, 21 dozen. We are making chocolate chip and chocolate shortbread today. Tomorrow will be the wine cookies, and the day after that will be the sugar cookies. We might make some more but it all depends on how crunched for time we are. I love the wine cookies and pizzelles because they are recipes that my grandma made and are so good. They always remind me of childhood!

I have to run a couple of errands this morning and then I will pop back in here later.

Have a great day! Drive safe!

Have fun baking Jennifer, I'm hoping to bake cookies this weekend.
Enjoy!

Chicken sounds delicious - what time should I be there for dinner? I hope that the dentist appointment goes well for your middle daughter and that your oldest does not have pink eye. At least it's something that can be easily cured! Hope that the day is not as hectic as it seems. Drive safe and have a good day!

Thank you so much Jennifer!
Dinner will be at 5:00, I would love to have you!!!

Here is the recipe using the Sugar Cookie marshmallows:

Double Delight Sugar Cookie

1 (16.5 oz.) pkg. refrigerated, sliceable sugar cookies, sliced
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/4 C sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla
16 jet-puffed Sugar Cookie Marshmallows
2 C fresh raspberries

Heat oven to 375 degrees F. Line 12-inch pizza pan with foil; spray with cooking spray. Arrange cookie dough slices in single layer in prepared pan; press together to completely cover bottom of pan. Bake 14 min.; cool completely. Invert onto plate; carefully remove foil. Turn crust over; place on plate. Beat cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with mixer until blended; spread onto crust. Top with marshmallows and berries. Cut into 16 wedges. Refrigerate one hour before serving. Refrigerate leftovers.

Okay, I've read back through the posts but I don't have time to respond to everyone. So i hope everyone who is sic, feels better soon!!! Praying for all of you.

The neurologist is sending mom for more tests. He wants her to do a sleep study and to wear a heart monitor for 24 hours. I'm pretty sure the sleep study will show she has sleep apnea but I don't think the heart monitor is going to show anything. She has had so many EKG's in the last year that I would think any major would have showed up. He didn't like her heartbeat today though.

Now I'm off to run a few more errands!! I'll check back in later!!!

Continued prayers for you mom.

Prayers for your mom, Made.

Hello my friends, I haven't been around here much because I have been super busy with getting ready to move on the 27th. Plus. I've been really sick for days. I got a bacteria infection that started spreading thru me and OH boy, it took me down big time. In a period of 24 hours I went from going out to dinner to the next thing I was sick like a dog...I've been on antibiotics for 3 days now and I am just starting to feel like I am around 60% at the moment from my normal energy and ache and pain levels.

Not the most perfect timing to be sick when I am supposed to be packing and doing all the things that you need to do in order to move. Today is my first day back at work, so well just see how things go, I was tired of lying on the couch~

I'll be here today, checking in from time to time. I hope everyone else is doing fine and getting ready for Christmas... PS...I didn't win the mega millions either...:-?

I'm so sorry you haven't been well... and that you didn't win too

I just watched this Fox Network clip of my hometown. The newscaster referred to Chevy Chase in Christmas Vacation and recalled how this town is similar to the Christmas spirit shown by Clark Griswold. In previous seasons, the mayor of the town (Mr. Pharr of Pharr Yarns) would pay the difference of the normal electric bill and the electric bill with the Christmas lights. He was such a special person who used this as a way to encourage everyone to put up lights and get into the Christmas Spirit! I was such a lucky kid, teenager, and young adult! The traffic would be so bad, we had to walk to church, the store, and the post office. With over 600,000 visitors, you can see why, LOL! Right now, I am wearing my Christmas Town USA sweatshirt. Now THIS puts me in the Christmas mood!!!

That is so cool, Seawaters!! Love it!
Thanks for sharing
