I am watching the Weather Channel and waiting for Jim Cantore to start hanging onto poles while flailing away in the high winds like he does with every storm he encounters.

LOL!!! I hope he's got his dry suit on under his clothes again like he did for the hurricane's. If not, he's going Popsicle by morning.

Ugh, the weather people are now saying we are barely getting anything! MAYBE 2-4, when ti was 4-8 just hours ago.. booooo!

Good afternoon from a very snowy Western Massachusetts!

Hey I found Nemo! He is everywhere around us!

I went in and worked a half shift this morning, I left just after 11 to be off the road by noon. The snow was light then, but now it is really coming down, and the worst is yet to come. They are saying 2-3 inches an hour at some points tonight. We are all home safe, and probably not going out again until Sunday. I will probably be popping in often throughout the day, not much more to do but watch the snow accumulate.

ttyl

Glad you're home safe.

Where is he now? He was in Boston this morning, but later there was someone else in Boston. Is he in Framingham at the MEMA bunker now? I've been watching local coverage. We were also watching some serial chapters downstairs. It's a great evening for movies. Mr. is shoveling the first few inches before the really heavy accumulations get under way. The very heavy stuff is on its way up from the south---they just said visibility may be near zero by 8 p.m.

Tell the kids, "No Driving!!!"

...The travel ban for all of Massachusetts is in effect now for the first time since 1978. So no driving!

Kids are driving us nuts

I truly see why some animals eat their young. cheesy

I really hate it when you go through the drive thru for dinner and get home to discover that your drink is 99% ice and 1% drink.

Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? Sponge Bob Square Pants!!!

I bought a can of cashews with a large label on the front that says, "Cashews". I look on the back label and read: Allergy Warning: Contains Cashews. Phew! Glad I read the warning, had no clue what was in this can!!!

You will think I am crazy but Wayne sent me a dozen roses one time for Valentines Day, I loved them but told him not to spend that kind of money again! Yikes!!! I wasn't mean about it, not to worry, it was very sweet of him and I enjoyed it but I guess I kept thinking of other cool things to spend that kind of money. Lol! I am just not much of a "material girl" and I'm frugal. I like to spend money on things I can use or on things we can do together. (That's just me!)

For all you other guys out there, not knocking the florist business, if your sweetie likes flowers go out and get them!!! MerryMistletoe says get them NOW!!! /QUOTE]

oh girl I am the same way. people will come in, ask about flowers, how much, then do a double take. I always tell them, "Hey, that's why i only work here cause i sure can't afford them!!! i am just like you, i would rather have the $ or something i could really use. my hubby got me some roses when we were dating & then when our kids were born & i loved them...but i didn't work in a flower shop back then either! lol

Overcast skies here in northern California, yet no hint of snow! The school board went well last night; I even received a standing ovation. Several people got up and spoke also, one a former board member whose son had been in my class. My speech went over very well, too!

TOLD YA' SO!!!

I got a nice surprise from my 8 year old grandson. He had early release from school today and brought home a project he made for Christmas. I fell in love with it so he gave it to me! I asked my daughter (his mom) if she minds if I keep it. I wasn't sure if it's something she wanted. She told me of course I could since I am Christmas Crazy! I put the date on the back of it so I can remember when he made it when I bring it out to display every year. I am getting a large collection of hand made goodies from the kids. Our hallways is full of art work they have hung on the walls.

OMGOODNESS! I HAVE NEVER SEEN SNOW THAT DEEP!

I am going to have a nice big bowl of homemade pea soup for supper. seems like a really good night for it!

My boss texted me and said she is closing the shop. The roads are just to bad for anyone to travel anywhere.

& wasn't she originally thinking it would maybe "clearup?" lol

How much are a dozen roses these days? I use to pay $49.99 a dozen at the florist near my ex's apartment. She loved white roses but managed to kill them in a week. So then I had to buy her more. It went that way for 5 years.
