Getting ready to sink into a book and get to bed before 5 a.m. comes.....Wish has to go and have blood work done tomorrow and I am really leery about the outcome.....He seems fine but I am just very afraid of what the blood work will show.......Please cross your fingers and toes and everything you have for us !!! xoxo

I changed my signature yet again.....Just cant seem to find one I want to stick with....It is back now to my funny polar bear scotting his front along the ice.....Actually I have so many siggies of polar bears it is hard to use them all....

I've heard a lot about Channel 38 from Mr., and the vintage movies they used to run.



Yep, they're good, but you have to pay attention while you watch. The first one in the series has a tough plot to follow! We haven't seen them all yet, but in our opinion, anything with Lloyd Nolan in it is worth watching. We also recommend the Boston Blackie series with Chester Morris, and the Falcon mysteries.

Good morning all schools are closed in the 12 counties in our area today because of flooding...we have gotten another 6 inches overnight bringing to weekend total to 14 inches. the last 2 are suppose to fall this morning. our house is fine but the roads close to our house is under water..in fact most roads are over water in some places. I have to work but brandi will have a good day off. THat is the only thing we ever have here rain days and that is not very often, Once every 3 years. I don' t think in cook or Lowndes county Ga there has ever been a snow day.lol have a great day everyone!

everyone is great snowqflake! school, work, same ole same ole, ya' know. really enjoying my extra off day! lol

I just "raced" through the post tonight, I'm a bit tired. I feel like I am coming down with a cold. Hopefully a little medicine, some vitamins and a good nights sleep will help me to feel well in the morning!

And as can be plainly seen, the day after tomorrow we will fling open that 300-day Christmas Day window and gaze upon the incredible sight of double-200's land!

Well, the weather certainly took a cold, wet turn yesterday.
A yucky day all around, really.
We have started today at 38 degrees with more rain, although it should be noticeably warmer.

We just got a notice that all of the local schools are closed tomorrow because of flooding over the roads. The rivers are bursting with water!

Here's quick shot of the field (not a pond, but a field) across the road from my office.

At least no more drought worries. Should make for good fishing this spring. Stay safe.

I didn't know there was a Boston Blackie film series. I have listened to some of the OTR shows, and enjoy them. I've also listened to the Falcon, but have not seen the films. I wonder if they are on DVD. Thanks for the tip!
