Some people really tick me off...so Sears just called my house and wanted to know if we wanted to re-new the maintenance contract on our dishwasher, which would cost money. Anything with bills, I always ask DH, which I am sure a lot of wife's do, at least I know I do. Anyway, I told her that and DH said he didn't want it renewed. When I told her, she started laughing at me.

Anyway, to make a long story short...why was that funny. Was it funny to her because I asked my husband or because we ended the maintenance contract. Either way, she made me mad.

That was very rude and unprofessional. My wife and I always consult each other on all financial decisions, whether it be $10 or $500. We are a team and that's the way we roll. cheesy

Hello, friends!!

How is your evening going so far?

We just finished dinner, we had some Alfredo fiori & some cheese bread. Sinfully good.

Adrian has been busy catching up with work & unpacking today. He had a wonderful trip with his Dad. It was really neat to be at an event like this, one other than a Medal Of Honor convention, and still see the gratitude & respect that his Dad received. He said they got a police escort to Churchill Downs, and he got to watch Ken, his Dad, on the red carpet. I guess a gentleman that was observing started a standing ovation for Ken & the other MOH recipients, and said that these are the real people who should be recognized. Adrian was extra proud at that moment.
Then, he got to walk out on the grounds/ track along with his Dad, Mr. Norris, and Mr. Meyer to the winners circle with the winner's wreath. He said that he was so excited that he took pictures of his feet there to remember the exact moment! A few roses fell off the wreath, so they gave them to him. He's going to put a shadow box together with them and a couple of other things he got while he was there.
I'm glad they had so much fun!

made, he met "Wild Bill" from Deadliest Catch, and had his picture taken with him. They may work together in the future.

It's so nice that I think we may go on another walk!! 74 degrees right now.

Hope you all have a beautiful night!!

xx

It's nice to hear in an event known for it's extravagance, they respect and honor the true heros that deserve it.

It sounds like Adrian had a great time.

So, I think I mentioned a little while back that I wanted to get a bike...

So, in March, my Mom asked me if there was anything in particular I wanted for my birthday, I said a bike! I told her if she wanted to contribute towards one I would really appreciate it.

She laughed, and said, what's wrong with the bike you have?

I said, "what???"

Apparently, when I moved to Las Vegas, I had given my parents a practically brand new bike to store for me. So, my Dad got it out from their storage under the porch, and brought it to me last weekend! I have no memory of this bike, LOL!!

Adrian just took it for a test ride, and said I need a few new spokes, but otherwise It's in great condition :)
Sweet!!

That is a nice surprise.

Needed a little Christmas so I went to the Hall of Fame section of the forums and looked at some of the images in the Christmas Blossoms thread. Is it late September yet?!
No, but the Blossoms thread launch is only about 4 1/2 months away!

Good evening!
My afternoon ended up being busier than expected. My daughter texted me from work saying she had a migraine so I had to drive there to bring her a pill to take. Then we had two doctor appointments later in the day. My youngest daughter is feeling better and will be heading back to school tomorrow. But my oldest has a cold and definitely has pink eye. The doctor prescribed the eye drops and we started them. The good news is she has off from work the next couple of days so she can rest.
I see that a few of you were heading out to enjoy some wine this evening. Next time count me in!

I was just about to go to bed and I saw that I had an email from my friend. I thought I would share these before I signed off because they sure made me laugh!!

"What my Mom taught me:
Religion - "You better pray that comes out of the carpet!!"
Logic - "Because I said so, that's why!!"
Irony - "Keep crying and I'll give you something to cry about!!"
Wisdom - "When you get to my age you'll understand!!"
Justice - "One day you'll have kids, I hope they turn out just like you!!""

"Ah, children. A woman knows all about her children. She knows about dentist appointments, soccer games, romances, best friends, location of friend's houses, favorite foods, secret fears and hopes and dreams. A man is vaguely aware of some short people living in the house."

The second one!! LOL! It makes me think of my dad. He drove me to the wrong friend's house more than once. I hope this makes someone smile before bed or in the morning!!

Good evening,

Finally getting to be here after a long day of work, feeding my boys, cheering on my Bruins, who won 5-2 (sorry CS). Day off tomorrow, I have to take LC to his kindergarten screening, make meatballs for teacher appreciation week, maybe mow the lawn, and do laundry. I was finally able to go through the Hallmark Dream book, so much I want this year, hmmmmmmm college for the kids or Christmas ornaments. cheesy

Have a good night!!!

I forgot to add, I made a few more videos that I posted to YouTube, of course of my favorite group The Move. These songs or versions weren't available on there before so here they are.

"Long Black Veil"
[youtube_browser]XqA-bKGREtk[/youtube_browser]
I love this song because it really shows off their talent of the four-part harmony

"Kilroy Was Here"
[youtube_browser]sKh1Ijw8SS8[/youtube_browser]

This was probably my first song I really liked from the group when I discovered them in 1998.

Good night again!!!!

Glad to hear that he is home safe.

Thanks, Xmas.

How are you & how is your family?

xx
