I had a couple of guinea pigs when I was in high school ... and then there were three! The pet shop clerk told me the first two were both female, but that turned out not to be true! I separated the male the same day the baby was born, but the female had another litter (of three) anyway. I found homes for them.

But the original 'pigs were sweet. They learned to associate the sound of the refrigerator opening and closing with apple and other fruity treats. When they heard the refrigerator, they would "whistle"! They say guinea pigs are not very intelligent, but mine were.

Mom's doctor was happy with her. Everything looked good and they actually had to cut back on her insulin because her levels have been to low lately.

Hello everyone!
Today we are going to have sun and clouds with a high of 77. Looks like we are going to start to see those warmer temperatures. I prefer the cooler temps. My dogs do too, lol. Even the upper 70's are too warm for them to go for walks. With these temperatures I usually skip the afternoon walk and just take them early morning and then in the evening when it cools off.
I will be running up to the rehab center this morning after the girls go to school. My father can barely stand up and I'm hoping the doctor can figure out what is going on.
I also need to write a menu for next week and a grocery list. And I will go to the butcher to get that over with. Will do the rest of my food shopping over the weekend.
Oh and I need to get my mother her Mother's Day gift. I have a few things in mind, so I'm hoping to make it up to the mall today too.
Other than that, just daily chores.

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

I finally got the grass cut in the pecan orchard yesterday...and now it's time to re-cut the rest of the yard. I'll get to it tomorrow morning. I usually go to Jim's shop to work on the Camaro on Saturdays, but I think I'll take him out to see Iron Man instead, to thank him for all his effort on the car.

Tonight I'm taking a carload of girls to their ballet practice. Help!
