Just a thought, but why is this little squirrel sporting Colts apparel here in Dallas??? :wink:
I think you're right!He can't stand the Cowboys owner either!!!
:hello: Mr. O'Malley has finally crawled out from under the bed in the guest room (his room) the fireworks really spooked him this year more than most. I'm going to sit with him for a bit on the sofa before I go to bed.
:sparkle: Good Morning - Good Night y'all!
:sparkle: Keep a merry thought in your head!
Happy New year everyone!! Let the countdown begin!!! xxxx:rudolph:
Good First Morning of 2013 My Dear Christmas Family !!
I hope all of your celebrations were wonderful and that you all had a nice evening.
As I said before, I wanted to be here last evening with you all but that all came to an end when I gave Wish his fluids yesterday. He nearly screamed when I put the needle in and then he wimpered the whole time. Thankfully it does not take long for the fluid to infuse. That was not the whole thing though. I get very upset when I have to do this but I WILL do it to save his life, but on top of being nervous about putting the needle my husband started yelling at me criticizing me saying I was doing it wrong, etc, etc, etc. I was a complete nervous wreck by the time it was all over. I know he gets upset that Wish is for the most part at the end of his life and needs these treatments but I DID NOT need to be yelled at, especially at that time. I just see no reason why anyone has to yell at another person especially at a stressful time. But that is always the first thing he does.....
It put me in such an awful mood that I unplugged the tree and turned off the Christmas lights and just lay in the dark here in the living room crying for a time. Eventually I felt better and got back on here to say Happy New Year to everyone. Okay, enough of my tirade.....
Shellie, it is not a butterfly needle. Not sure what gauge it is but it is a subcutaneous injection, not IV or anything. Wish does not have much loose skin which means that wherever the needle goes in, he FEELS it. If he had as much loose skin as Hermione, he would never even know but he doesn't.
I am getting ready to see what kind of work is in the system at my job and probably going to work half day today. Have a wonderful day, Christmas Family. If it were not for all of you, I don't know where I would be ((((HUGS)))) to all xoxoxo

** OFFICIAL THREAD - CHRISTMAS COUNTDOWN 2013 **
OK, Friends. Here we go again.
For the 7th consecutive year here at My Merry Christmas (and the 10th year overall)...... another year of countdowning begins!
Here are the statistics since we began the Season countdown idea 9 years ago:
2004 = 1,217 posts (Christmas.com) = 3.3 posts per day.
2005 = Over 2,700 posts (Christmas.com) = over 7.4 posts per day.
2006 = 3,756 posts (The Christmas Place) = 10.3 posts per day.
2007 = 1,957 posts (My Merry Christmas, where the thread was not launched until July) = 12.1 posts per day.
2008 = 5,103 posts = 13.9 posts per day.
2009 = 8,231 posts = 22.6 posts per day.
2010 = 16,226 posts = 44.5 posts per day.
2011 = 31,091 posts = 85.2 posts per day!
2012 = 39,183 posts = 107.1 posts per day!!
(The growth really is unbelievable, Folks! Just when I think we couldn't possibly break the record again, we do. A per-day increase EVERY year since the begining!)
And now here we are ready to go again, at the start of 2013.
A word of explanation. We are running a dual countdown in this thread - one for Christmas Day and one for the start of the Christmas Season (November 13).
Most all of us have agreed that we look forward to the entire Christmas Season rather than just to Christmas Day.
Why November 13? No reason, really. It just seems about the right time to regard the season as arriving. That date is exactly 6 weeks before Christmas Day and is about the time the country at large is beginning to really get into the holiday spirit. Most of the stores have decorated. And starting the season then gives us exactly 50 days (Nov 13 through Jan 1) to enjoy being "within" the season, giving it a depth that's lacking with just the Christmas Day count by itself.
We also enjoy noting special "milestones" along the way (see the chart below).
And here's one thing you CERTAINLY don't want to miss!
Many of us gather here on the evening of November 12 for our annual hour by hour, then minute by minute countdown to the start of the Season at midnight Eastern Time. It's something we really look forward to and is truly great fun!
Allright, Everyone!
Climb aboard once again and enjoy reading the posts/following the count which begins today at 316 to the Season and 358 to Christmas Day.
