I got a good reason to keep my Christmas lights lit or a few more weeks. I store them in the garage right, and so I went and purchased a new garage door (I'll save myself some embarassment on explaning what happened to the one that is there presently; ahemmm), needless to say, I had some explaning to do to the wife for having to spend 2500.00 on something that I should not of had to do in the first place....

So, as I was saying, I'm getting a new garage door and the company called and told me that I must have the garage cleared out for installation of the new door. So, last night, I told the wife that we have to keep the lights up for a couple of more weeks! She looks at me and says, get this, "If I didn't know you better, I'd swear to it that you busted the garage door on purpose in order so you could keep the Christmas lights lit"!...

Awww man does she know me.... any excuse not to unplug them and take them down, I'll take it! I'm praying for a Noreaster, so we get about 3 feet of snow, boy wouldn't that look nice with the house all ablaze and the snow coming down.... I'm wishing, I'm wishing, I'm wishing....

One more reminder that the season is over...I just ate my last Little Debbie Christmas brownie! I love their holiday snack cakes! Only time I eat them is around Christmas. Looks like they're gone for another year. This one was a brownie that is shaped like Santa's head (if Santa's head was shaped like a football). Maybe I should say it's colored to resemble Santa's head. Anyway...I'll miss 'em. As with each year, me and Little Debbie had some good times.

Back to the grind for me as well...Got a bad case of the PCB's AND a cold that has me feeling even downer and outer...But comfort is what I was seeking, and here is where I searched, and I found it. The torch continues to be carried, the feeling continues to live on and the friendships flourish all year long.

All the best for 2013 my frieinds! They say that you are about as happy as you make up your mind to be...I'v decided to let myself feel down today, with upswings int he coming days...

Hope you feel better soon, Jay!

Good morning,

I am here all by my lonesome, I cleaned the kitchen after I dropped the boys off, I am missing them and my wife a lot today, I had another meltdown while cleaning. But, I got a phone call from a company and I have an interview tomorrow. I have had 3 phone calls already this morning from companies looking to give me an interview. I just posted my resume online Sunday night, and all of this attention. Still not from the company I am hoping for, so I have to prep for my first interview in over 12 years. Back to work on Friday for me, just trying to enjoy the last few days.

Have a great day!

I wish you luck and success in this job search. You're deserving of a job you can feel good about!

Ohhhh MerryCarey, that's great, where did they find such a treasure? I would like to find that one, is that the official tittle that's above?

Sorry to have to tell you that it's not a mass-produced DVD ... we got it from a friend of ours who collects films and vintage television, and is able to transfer film and tape to DVD. He sent it to us for Christmas.

I see some of you are mentioning about taking your decorations down already. We will be taking ours down on Sunday, which is the Epiphany and the end of the Christmas season. It will make it perfect this year, since we will both be off too.

Hope you all have a great day. Christmas may be over, but let the light always shine in us! We all have each other, just remember that. God Bless and keep smiling! Praying for all of you, your families, and furbabies!

I am planning to let my decorations up through the weekend. I MIGHT take them down Sunday but I really don't like to do something so depressing on a weekend. I will probably do it Monday. Seems like a good Monday thing to do. Lol!

one last picture of the living room...it all comes down today

That makes me sad to think of it being down. So festive!

Thanks for the reminder! I totally forgot it was Pinesday!

ME TOO! That makes me feel better already!

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's freezing here in central Indy!!!! We currently stand at 7 degree's on our way to a high in the low 20's. Brrrrr. Of course by the end of next week they are talking about high's in the 60's. I have a lot to do today but I don't know how much I'll get done. I really shouldn't have stayed up until 4am watching Christmas movies on hallmark. The Santa Suit is one of my favorites though and I hadn't seen it all the way through this season. Well I'm off to do the dishes and I have any energy left I'm going to start packing up my Santa's. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!

My car said 5º on my way to work this morning! Brrrr!!! I supposed if it gets up to 60, the foot of snow we have will be gone, huh? Booooo!!! I watched the Hallmark channel til 1:30am, but I made myself go to bed. That alarm goes off too early to stay up that late! Lol!

No Christmas on TV drives me nuts now. I really think there needs to be a Holiday Cable channel, it doesn't have to be all Christmas all the time, but keeps something about all the holidays in rotation.

I agree!!! This is the 1st day in a couple months that Hallmark channel has not even been turned on here!

Ahhh.. woken up on day 2 of the new year with 2 sick kiddos... :( We have been snuggling on the couch all AM. I took a few things down just because I wanted to clean a bit but my tree is still up, lights are up around the house and outside for at least another week or two and my snowmen remain up for quite some time! And my little 3 ft tree is up and light and seasonally decorated all year! I'm just enjoying picking up odds and ends at 50+% off now...

Hope they are feeling better soon!!!

Good luck with your interviews!!!

Woke up to a chilly morning here in northern California. It is a sunshiny day with blue skies and no breeze. I was able to eat a little last night, but not a lot. I think it is time for another vitamin infusion. That's how tired I feel. I go for an MRI tomorrow for a bone density scan. Bring on the Xanex!!! I hate those machines!

Hoping & praying it all goes very well!!!

I was telling myself the same thing. It's ok to be sad today but then that's it!!! Tomorrow & beyond it's time to lift the chin & make it a good year!!

Well I don't have 3 feet but we still have about about 10 inches on the ground and I'm not digging through it to find the cords to unplug mine. They can stay on until I see green. (which unfortunately looks like next week)

My aunt just told us on Sunday he hadn't, that indeed he had cancer, but my uncle did want to tell anyone. It sounds like they got it all with the surgery, which is a blessing, but this is how I feel when you don't always see each other and get to be as close, things are, that is what really makes me sad I think.

I'll keep praying for him.

Oh and we have to convince them to hire Jay and RJD to do the programing.

I love that idea!!!

Oh and for those that are getting the Christmas blues, Carl has done something special! Heck its special for everyone! He is pulling an after Christmas, Christmas party! Complete with egg nog and the Christmas vacation moose mugs. He has Christmas movies running all day and the music is cranked. Hot chocolate, candy cane chocolate and more!

Oh yeah!!! I'll be there shortly.

Well all of the indoor decorations that are stored in the attic are down and put away. So that just leaves my 10 Jim Shore Santa's. I'll probably get to them tomorrow. I don't want to dig all of their boxes out right now.
