Christmas Countdown - 2013

I am orginally from McAdenville, NC aka Christmas Town, USA. You can check out the website!!! That would be fun. We could have an Elf School, a Santa School, and a regular school, a church, Xmas' Christmas Store, Christmas Star's Bakery and Cookie Jar, a Christmas Grocery Store, etc. How fun!!!

You know, we need to all move to some town, gradually take it over and then rename it to MerryChristmas. Then as having all of you as my neighbors, we would all then have our christmas lights up and lit to this very day....could you just imagine...:wiggy:

it´s 10pm here right now...I am totally wasted....lol...no idea what from...but I guess this cold has just taken a toll on me...on Monday work starts again...and I am more exhausted than before the holidays...if I am not up to 80percent fit...I won´t be able to work...but I think I will make it....even tho I have the feeling that I would need one more week to get totally fit again...and a bit rested

Our meal is keeping warm in all my crockpots while the gravy is cooking. Cranberry jello salad is in the fridge. Turkey is ready for smoking, and the rolls will be ready later. The dough has to rise once and then the rolls will rise after shaping. The second glaze is ready for the last hour of the turkey smoking: white wine, maple syrup, butter, Jack Daniels' mustard. The garlic, parmesan mashed potatoes will be the last thing.

That's right!!! Plus, CM3 is the Keeper of the Polar Bears and Meceka is a food editor. Made is in charge of techie stuff. Who else? Oh, RJD and Jayish are the radio personalities.

Time for a pain pill and a quick rest before I start the rolls. My back is killing me!!!

We are frying fish tonight..catfish nuggets and tilapia too. I made my mom's Mexican dip and am pigging out on it with crackers. I am sure it will spoil my appetite but after reading Seawaters posts about her dinner I could not help it.lol Hope everyone is having a great weekend so far!

I sat on the couch for a good ten to fifteen minutes tonight just staring at the Christmas tree. It is coming down tomorrow and I am really sad about it. This year was very special, though. I got to have the tree up much longer than usual for two reasons - first being that Thanksgiving was a week earlier than usual. We put our tree up right before Thanksgiving, so we had a week extra this year. The second reason is because my dad usually takes the tree down on New Years Day. He didn't for some reason so we are going to do it tomorrow.

I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed the tree, garland, decorations, lights, etc. as much as possible this year. I can't wait to see them up next year! My house is going to look so plain now. The Christmas decorations just bring my house to life. Our house always seems so much more warm and cozy decorated! I watched Grumpy Old Men tonight and there were some Christmas scenes so I really enjoyed seeing that!

Anyways, I am off to bed. It is after one in the morning here. Good night, everyone! Hope you are all sleeping well by now and have sweet dreams!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your tree and decorations for extra time this year.

haha...bulldawg...I can relate to You having to snack on something after getting Your mouth watered on mmc....happened to me plenty of times....maybe I will sue MMC for gaining 4 pounds ...lol

Sort of a quiet weekend here...as in the gas fireplace service repair guy that came over today set off a small gas explosion...thank God, other than the hair that burned off his arms, no one got hurt and my house is fine. Unbelievable.
Tomorrow, after Mass, I will begin taking down Christmas 2012 as my family ends the season with the feast of the Epiphany...waah!
But, the planning begins for 2013!

good lordy...I am still like a kid....when I see a movie like Coach Carter...I wanna play hoops immediately...when I see a Western I want to jump on a horse and ride through the prairie and hunt down bandits...and when I see a Kung Fu Movie like Karate Kid....I want to jump up and get my black belt within 5minutes....hilarious

a happy new year to you all and i hope you had a wonderful christmas. i moved house on 22nd december and my internet connection was dead until 2nd january so i feel like i missed all the fun.

my christmas was lovely and i cooked an amazing christmas dinner. over the last few days all the decorations in the neighbourhood have been taken down and i've had to accept it's over for the time being

i have got the sneakiest feeling that christmas 2013 will be THE ONE, the most unbeliveably amazing christmas for us all, and the way time flies it'll soon be here, so let's do what we do best... countdown to christmas and keep it in our hearts all year long!

Well I just got home and was starting to read through the posts when I saw what Seawaters was cooking for dinner. Now I'm hungry!!!! So I'm off to get some dinner. I'll be back in a bit.
