And the schools would have Christmas vacations and Christmas trees, Christmas parties, and so on. Just like they were called when I was a kid. cheesy
absolutly!!!

I use the argument now when folks want to call it a holiday tree....
which celebrations this time of the year use a decorated pine tree as part of their celebration? Only Christmas does, therefore it is a Christmas tree!

Good Evening Christmas family

I was so tired last evening I could not stay awake to even post. In fact, I was so tired I didn't even e-mail my sister - now you know I was dead.

I kept looking at the little Christmas tree in my room today when I was working and decided to store it for a while. I remembered I still have the small tree we bought for my mother when she was in the nursing home. It has regular lights which I love far better than LED. I got it out and fluffed it up and it is so pretty, plus it makes me feel my mother is in the room with me !!

You are all going to think I have lost my mind with this one. Friday night late my little kitty, Lily, was running around the tree as though she was chasing something and then stopped all of a sudden. Then she tried to get into the tree. I knew there HAD to be something in there. I went back to sleep and she stayed staring the tree down. Then yesterday my other kitty, Smokey, would NOT leave the tree alone. Finally yesterday afternoon, the tiniest little mouse I have ever seen scurried out of the branches and tried to make a run for it. Smokey was on hime like white on snow, however, even though Smokey was just following nature's instinct, he was not counting on me doing my instinct. I MADE him give up the little baby mouse and I gently got it into some paper towels and as yesterday it was not that cold here I put it outside. So I save it's life. I cannot stand something innocent losing its life. My consciencCate would not have rested if I had not tried. The little mouse scurried away quite happly, I just hope he/she could find where its family is.

Crazy right ??? Well, that's me. No killing of innocent beings on MY WATCH not matter if it a mouse or whatever. By the way, Smokey has been quite aloof with me ever since because I took his "toy" away. Oh well. Cats will be cats. xoxo

Wish had an episode where he was pretty sick today - GI "stuff" and it makes me concerned. When the BUN and creatinine are elevated it can cause all those lovely GI things. I don't know. We are supposed to get his blood checked later on this week or early next week. Cross your fingers xoxo

I have been thinking of that line from A Charlie Brown Christmas where Lucy tells Charlie..."We need a director, you need involvement....." I think that is what I need. Involvement with something that gets me out of the house. So I am going to look at one of the technical colleges nearby and see maybe about a course in writing or something. I don't know if it could really help me but I would enjoy it !

Sorry this was so long Christmas family. Praying all are well and having a magical Christmassy evening (((HUGS))) to all ESPECIALLY:

You are not crazy, when it started getting colder back in the fall, we had a few mice get in and they were hounded by our 5 cats. We rescued two of them and set them free outside. Poor little critters they were so frightened.

Good luck on the courses, your blog is one of the best I have ever read. You would be a great writer.

You never apologize for a long post, I think we all have done them.

Thanks Xmas. You were one of my very first friends here on MMC. I learned a lot from you, Jimmyolson and a couple of others who blog here. In fact, you are all my idols !!! God bless you for saving those little mice. I am glad I am not alone in saving them and I am glad I am together in it with you and your wife xo

Yeah that would be so cool if we all formed a town..brandi and seawaters and xmas's wife would be the teachers at the local school.. Brad would be the mayor...I would be the..hmm I dunno let me think some more about this..but one thing for sure...It would have to get about 100 inches of snowfall per year!!

Thanks! that makes me feel great...it's always about perspective isn't it...when I was in college I use to think of 29 as old.lol

When I was a youngster (back when chariots were used as transport) we used to say "never trust ANYONE over 30" !!!

I wish I were older than 21! All I want out of life is to get married and have kids. I'm not asking for much! I don't care how much money I have as long as I get by. I always said that I wanted 4 kids but I don't know if that's realistic in the economy right now lol! Everyone my age is concerned with parties but I am way past that.

Oh well....I guess a couple of more years is all!

@Cm3! That is great you saved that little mouse..I would have tried to do the same thing..Brandi thinks i'm nuts but on Christmas Eve after I had already taken my sleep medication I got up to go to the kitchen to get something to drink and I swear I saw a mouse run from under the dishwasher to under the stove and back again. however we have not seen any trace of one since then I do wonder if I was hallucinating.lol Snowball usually is good about sniffing out things like that..one time a lizard got in the house and he detected it the closet and would not let up until the thing ran out!

Don't rush it..believe me when you turn 25 things will really really speed up.I feel like 25 to 35 was only 2 years. I don't know why it is like that. But after mid twenties time just flies!!!savor every day!! I think that is a lesson for everybody of every age..I need to remember that as well. I tend to just wish for fall and winter everyday of spring and summer meanwhile life is just slippin away!!!

We use to have pet mice when we moved in together, we loved them.

Thank you for the kind words.
