Good evening, Christmas family

Just stopping by on my way to bed. I am so tired. Got up at 5 again today and got to work about 7.

Wish seems to have felt really good today. I started researching things in a K9 Kidney disease forum I joined and discovered that one of his meds, Benazepril, can cause elevation of the BUN !! So I am going to talk to the doc about this. Maybe he will consider changing to another drug. I hope so.

He is actually asleep by me on the loveseat which is where he always used to be. He is acting himself tonight for the first time in a while. Why Did I not know he was not feeling well ?? I am supposed to be his pet parent. I did get him to the doctor the minute he didn't want his breakfast...

Made - I hope your mother is over her headache and I hope your niece is doing okay. My arthritis seems to be under control now. I even have normal looking TOES !!! The psoriasis itself is not gone though....I am still a freak.

Seawaters - I hope you are feeling better.

Meceka - Congratulations on becoming an aunt again !!! I bet the baby is beautiful.

CAH, Christmasstar, Jennifer, MaryCarey, MerryMistletoe, Claire, Sugar, Lauriebear, and EVERYONE.....((((HUGS)))) to all of you just because xo

Goodnight dear Christmas family...Perhaps I can actually rest tonight.....

Thank you, CM3! I'm glad Wish had a good day ~ I pray he continues to have them! {{{HUGS}}}

I was about to sit down last night and go through the posts before bed when my Internet went for a walk or something. All I know is it was not here and working. (kind of like some of the people at work!)
But at least it is back now, so I can read through as much as I can between dishes, baking, vacuuming, laundry and cleaning the bathroom. Then I leave for work.

I'm glad your internet decided to come back cheesy

Hello everyone. It's been almost a week since I've been by the forums...I've had an awful stomach bug and don't think I've ever been this sick! Hope everyone is doing good and have a great Thursday!

I hope you are all better now!

Nothing special here---it's just Thursday. Time for tea while waiting for the work to hit my desk. It's been a slow week so far, but sometimes that means a deluge is on the way.

I hope something happy happens to you today!

I hope something happy happened to you, too!

I forgot to congratulate Meceka!!! I love the name Zoey! Glad to hear that Wish is doing better and that you might have hit on why the BUN level was elevated, CM3.

Thank you, Seawaters!

They are calling for temps possibly in the 60's this weekend.

There goes my snow. :-?

Most of my snow is gone, now, too ~ lots of ice left though.

so excited, look what I found today!

this was only $5 at a local thrift store. Now I really have a project for this coming Christmas. Going to get it all painted and make a stable to house them in.
There were a few doubles in the set which is nice in case something breaks.
I have been wanting a nativity set but could never find one that was nice and did not cost an arm and a leg.

wow that's a long time to be in pain. it's wonderful to hear the pain has finally went away.

I was hoping to read an update on Wishbone. I have been thinking of him & you CM3.

hey y'all! I don't ever seem to find time to come here anymore. not sure what I'm dealing w/ but I am physically worn out, every part of my upper body hurts. I have got to get this under control.... I hope everyone is well & safe. happy Friday everyone!

I hope you are better soon, merry!

Good afternoon, MMC!

The Dr. told me it was going to be a long time for it to be in pain.

I hope you get well, we miss you around her.

Has anyone seen, Becoming Santa??? WOW! What a great documentary. Very touching, brought a few tears to my eyes (happy tears!) and also really getting to see how hard Santa works! Of course we all know that! cheesy

They follow this man around who transforms himself to becoming Santa. Others are interviewed as well and some history about Santa. I loved it! It's available on Netflix, if you have it. That is where I watched it.

I loved that film. It does bring tears to your eyes, it was on The O network last year (2011) and I was hoping it was going to be on again this past Christmas but no luck. I want to get the DVD to add to my Christmas movie collection.

My mom and I have really been enjoying watching her home movies from the 40's-50's. There is at least 4 hours of it and we will probably watch some more today. It's fun to watch her get excited about her childhood friends. She "narrates" and tells me what is going on in each clip. She has seen all these before but it's been over 20 years since the last time she watched it. I love seeing her and my aunt playing together, swimming at the beach, dancing, roller skating, riding bikes, traveling and more!

Xmas365, I was trying to figure out how I could give her that on DVD as a gift. It won't be possible because we have already been discussing getting this done together soon. But you gave me a really great idea! I make videos all the time with my grandchildren set to music. I also do videos for our church for certain services. A lot of editing and music added. My mom has always enjoyed my videos I make. Since these films are silent, I was thinking when I can get this transferred digitally I will try to edit clips to music and give her that for Christmas. She will LOVE it!!! So thanks for the idea!

Try to figure out what years they are, and do it with music from that era. Or you could overdub it like the Kung Fu movies, "Give me the ball, young grasshopper!" cheesy

I'll look for that, thanks!

It sounds similar to a movie that was discussed on one of the podcasts. There was an interview with the writer of a movie called "They Wore the Red Suit", or something like that. It's supposed to be a documentary about the people who become professional Santas. I've been looking forward to that one, too.

I've been wanting to see that one also.

I will check out that book. Sounds interesting. When I tore more than one ligament in my foot, the pain was so horrendous. I ended up with surgery and was in a cast for about three months and then a boot for about three more. Not fun, but today I am pain-free in my foot. Then the following year, I did the same thing to my right foot.

Owwweee! I was out of work for 6 weeks, in a boot for about 4 of those weeks. Mine was a partial tear, the Dr said I would have been better off tearing it completely, then they could have done surgery. Only time could heal it.

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

I worked at my brother's shop on the Camaro till 9:30 last night. We dis-assembled the front end and had it sandblasted. Last night we coated the bare metal with primer. In a couple days we'll spray it all glossy black, then re-assemble the front end. Then we'll be ready to drop the motor in!

This is my weekend at Bernie's (not quite like the movie!)

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Save some bacon for me!
