Thanks, Seawaters, but "smart" is not a word I can equate to myself.....
Have a Marvelous Monday, Everybody.
And a Stupendous Start to your work week!

With this post, CAH is poster # 2000. For her efforts, she wins a monthly reminder that she has Christmas cookie cutters!!! I think I will let the reminderer be Brad Pitt, unless you want it to be me!!!
And with this post, Merry Carey is poster #1000. For her efforts, she wins a used movie stub. Let's hear it for MC!!!
Yippee skippee! The prizes are back!yeah, prizes are back!!!
congrats CAH! Take Brad Pitt!
Exactly!!! Monday is a Marvelous day! Not a gloomy one!!!
I feel everyday is a blessing. My pastor had a sermon yesterday (not preaching here, good word for all faiths!) Change the attitude from, "I have to" to "I get to"!
Instead of saying, "I have to go to work" feel blessed that, "I get to go to work". That saying should go to everything we do!
It's hard to stay in that mode all the time but even before I heard that sermon I have always tried to adopt that attitude in times that seem tough or things that I do that seem like mundane task! I just love the way he worded it!!!
wow, Saturday is almost over and I am just checking in for the first time!
Spent a good part of the day with my mom, went shopping, did some errands and had lunch together. Then me, LittleCS and a couple of friends went out to a luxury restaurant for a fine dinner (hot dogs at Costco) and went to watch "Parental Guidance"..a great movie, highly recommend it.
I have to drop my eldest off for work soon and stop at the drug store for some sore muscle rub in hopes that the pain in my arm will subside and I can sleep tonight.
Hope you all have a good sleep, talk to you in the morning!
I have a question. On some posts I've seen a line at the bottom indicating they were posted using an app called "Typepad" or something like that. I just got a Kindle Fire HD and woud love to have a MMC app on there. Is Typepad good? Is it easy to use? I'm new to the world of apps and tablets, so I'm working with a very limeted knowlege here.
We did!
By "promising," I meant to include those who have potential that only the good teachers see and build upon. Without teachers like you, their gifts may never be given to the world, because a good teacher needs to help them to reveal those gifts.
I got a gift card for the Vermont Country Store. The movies we watched would leave you saying "huh?!" We watched a Columbia short comedy starring Smith & Dale, and a few Vitaphone short subjects starring vaudeville/Broadway stars of the 1920s, both on the video projector. (I bet you'd love Trixie Friganza!) Our friend brought along a recording that was made by Capitol Records as a Christmas greeting to record shop owners---a seven-minute audio sketch with Baby Snooks (Fanny Brice) and Daddy (Hanley Stafford), plus Sylvester the Cat and Tweetie Pie (Mel Blanc). So we got to hear Sylvester and Tweetie sing "Jingle Bells"!
Re Trixie Friganza---here she is on YouTube. This isn't the one we watched today, but it'll give you an idea of what she was like.
