I bought DD some gifts (one was a "Dorothy" mug) when we went through Kansas one summer, and found them this Christmas. I also found four bath "sheets" that I had bought for her! I guess I am too good a "hider."

Ha ha! Really it would be just fine if you would remind me. Brad Pitt is not a member here so I would never see his signature with that reminder! cheesy

You could add to your reminder that I bought the all my grandchildren Santa Hats. I bought them yesterday on clearance for 30 cents each! Why I need a reminder is because I bought Wayne and I Santa Hats 2 years ago (2010) at a Christmas clearance and forgot about them last year (2011), found them in a box AFTER Christmas so they never got worn. I finally got them out this year (2012) to wear! I certainly don't want to forget I bought the kids these hats for 2013! =)

We are all smart in different ways. That's why we get along. We each have something we can contribute. Just think about our Christmas town; we each have our "jobs" based on our "talents." My husband and I complement each other. He is extremely organized and uses that skill as a "leader" in the Elks. I use my skills of English, typing, and shorthand to help him with all the writing his Elkdom requires.

So, Like I just told CS, we just got back from a late walk with Harlowe, because she really needed one…

...And it's 4° outside! -7 windchill.

My fingers and ears are still numb, and I Dressed like Randy in A Christmas Story... That's how much I love that girl!

At 7 AM tomorrow, it's supposed to be -2° outside. Oh my goodness, My blood has definitely thinned out ;-)

Exactly!!! Monday is a Marvelous day! Not a gloomy one!!!

I feel everyday is a blessing. My pastor had a sermon yesterday (not preaching here, good word for all faiths!) Change the attitude from, "I have to" to "I get to"!

Instead of saying, "I have to go to work" feel blessed that, "I get to go to work". That saying should go to everything we do!

It's hard to stay in that mode all the time but even before I heard that sermon I have always tried to adopt that attitude in times that seem tough or things that I do that seem like mundane task! I just love the way he worded it!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!!! Brrr, It's cold out there. We currently stand at 18 degree's on our way to 26 for the day. A big difference from saturday. Plus the 4 inches of rain that we had since friday night flooded everything and then it all froze. So there are a lot of schools here that had to cancel school because it was just to dangerous for the buses to get out. Not to mention half of my neighbors car doors were frozen shut this morning. It's a good thing that I have 2 long extension cords and a hair dryer. Now I'm going to kick back and warm up before I decide what to put in the crock pot for dinner. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have difficulty with sweets in the morning. But after noon? Bring 'em on!!!

That's the exact Keurig system we have, Platinum Plus! Ours in cinnamon colored. I think that color was only available through QVC? Not sure I seen it anywhere else.

Those rolls look yummy! It would have to be dessert for me later in the day. I never could eat sweets in the morning, not even as a kid. I felt sick all day afterward. :-o What a weird kids I was! LOL!

It is cold here, too. We didn't get as much rain and it turned over to snow rather quick, but there was enough that there is a layer of ice on the ground and roads. School was delayed for two hours this morning. The sun is shining and I don't have to go out until tomorrow morning, so there is time for them to do something to my road ~ *crosses fingers*. I get to go clean the kitchen. Ugh! That is just not fun saying that. Okay, at least I have a kitchen to clean in a nice warm house!!! Also shows that I got to eat today is why the kitchen needs cleaning!!! Doesn't sound so bad after all, off I go to clean the kitchen!!!

There is a long-haired black cat wandering around outside. He isn't one of mine. I have seen him hanging around for the past few weeks, but he always stayed closer to the barn and the woods. He has been getting closer and closer to the house and the area the cats are fed, so maybe he is planning on sticking around.

My 3 year old granddaughter just said something nice about all of you.

I was trying to rearrange some boxes of Christmas items in my closet. One of my small boxes fell to the floor. It was full of Christmas cards that I got from some of you during one of our Christmas card exchange a few years ago. The cards scattered all over the floor and my granddaughter said, "What is that"? I said, "They are Christmas cards from my Christmas friends". She looked real surprised and said, "Ohhhh, I like your Christmas friends"!!! I said, "I do too"!!! She is always so darn sweet! cheesy

I have "stray" stray cats too! Lol.. I have my resident stray kitties that live on my property and my next door neighbor's property that eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. They know us and let us pet them. Then occasionally other stray cats show up and will visit once or twice a week for a snack. They will disappear for a couple of weeks then return.
