Happy Valentine's Day, everyone. Things have been very busy. My wife's birthday is tomorrow, but we went out and celebrated Saturday. I have one more present left for her to open tomorrow, although I gave her her big one last weekend, and then something today. I promised I'd never combine her b-day and Valentine's day...that would be a rip off for her!

I found a Valentine's gift waiting for me, too. She got me the blu ray of Skyfall, so there's going to be some James Bond watching in my future, once all this birthday celebration is over.

Yes, it is supposed to decrease and should have a long time ago. I just could never get on top of the pain completely until now. We are also going to do some x-rays via CT/MRI or something to see if there is a cause for the continued pain. Of course, the thing that comes to mind is bone cancer, but I refuse to allow that to bring me down. Being basically pain-free for the first time in almost a year has really bolstered my spirits today. I mean it; the new meds have made ALL the difference! I feel like one of the lepers, the blind man, or the man who was lowered from the rooftop and healed by Jesus. I just cannot keep from saying how great it is to feel this way and to be almost human again!

My dad and brother both got me flowers for Valentine's Day. No one ever gets me flowers! The bad part of this story? They messed them both up and they came from different companies!! They skimped majorly on my dad's and I didn't even get half of the flowers. They left a color out too. My brother's were all wrong. I was supposed to get pink carnations and roses and white flowers and they sent me red roses and baby's breath. LOL!

I'm glad you're feeling so much relief---I hope things continue to improve, and rapidly. Few things grind away at one quite the same way as persistent pain does.

I do wish you luck. Nothing like finding just the right hair salon. I will send the Lear to collect some snow for me!!!

Thanks---I had been going to one where we lived years ago---an hour's drive away---just because my hairdresser cut it the way I like it, and didn't hard-sell the salon's product line. (And showed me photos of her beautiful cats!) But it's time to find someone closer to home and save the time and gasoline. I'm trying a highly recommended local family hair salon, so I'm hoping they'll be plain and low-key. I don't need coloring, frosting, foil, permanent waves, or anything fancy---just a shampoo, cut, and blow-dry.

And we have plenty of snow you can collect. It's getting pretty dirty now, though. Wait until Saturday for some of the fresh stuff.

It's been one of those days. My cousin works with my mom and called me about noon saying that he was bringing her home. Apperantly she had been having problems writing and she said that her whole right said was numb. So when he got her here I took her to the er. The doctor said that she was really weak on the right side and wanted to make sure she didn't have a stroke. So they did a CT scan and it came back okay. She was never slurring her speech or anything so I never really thought it was a stroke to begin with. So the ER doctor called and set her up an appointment with a neurologist for tomorrow morning. I never thought it was a stroke to begin with. She never slurred her speech or anything. I'm pretty sure it's Diabetic neuropathy but I guess we will see what the doctor says tomorrow.

You are so right about quality food. It is always worth the extra $$$, to me. My uncle used to say, "For a nickle more you can go first class." I could never understand what that meant until I got older. Now I know!!! I cannot believe that I have never made a pizza like yours. I am definitely going to give it a try. Did you use corn or flour tortilla? I would leave off the jalepeno, but the rest sounds great! Thanks for sharing this idea!

We have a few restaurants around here who make personal pizzas like this. Some call them "Pizza Lite" - one restaurant calls them "California Pizza" I have never tried it on a corn tortilla. I use a flour tortilla, & I put the tortilla in the oven 1st to make it a little crisp - then I put all my toppings on & back in the oven it goes - for around 10 minutes - at 375º! YUM! If you try, I hope you enjoy it!
