Has anyone heard from visclaribnl lately?

Almost forgot ... Happy February :rudolph: Day!

That was on WDCA Channel 20 out of D.C.---does that even still exist?? It would have been an even better time if I'd known someone then who liked the same things to watch them with me---but I met him some years later and married him. Now we have our favorite movies on DVD and/or 16mm and have a great time watching them together, especially the last three weekends when snowstorms kept us housebound part of the time. Channel 20 also used to show Abbott & Costello movies on Saturday afternoons or Sunday mornings.

I remember that station, gosh, I forgot all about that. I used to watch that station as a kid, way before cable TV was even thought about. The rabbit ears and home antena days... I used to watch that station and also channel 45; Captain Chesapeake - do you remember that one?

I had to look it up and apparently the station is under the wing of the Fox networks... I'm not sure if it is picked up by Verizon or Comcast, I'll have to check tonight!

I, too, loved to watch the old movies. Every Sunday after dinner (lunchtime) I would watch the Shirley Temple movies that were shown on TV back in the 60s. No matter how many times I saw Heidi, I would cry when she heard the Grandfather yelling her name and they missed each other. I also remember seeing a picture of a teenage Shirley Temple with dark hair and could not believe it was the same person! We also had Three Stooges and Tarzan in B&W that I loved watching. Good quality shows to end the weekend on!

Oh man, Tarzan, I forgot all about those... Yea, I used to love watching them when I was a kid - "ungawa".....

Thanks, Meceka. I am not pain free, but hopefully I will find something out on Friday, the first of three appointments this month!

Happy Rudolph Day!!!

:rudolph:

I get to drive a school bus on Wednesday! They needed a substitute driver because one needed a day off so the Christian school called me!!! Yeah!!!
I will be fun to get behind the wheel again, even if it is just for one day.

Just remember that the bus stays on the road and not on the racetrack! Don't let Made talk you into going there, no matter what he says!!!

Channel 45 was out of Baltimore and was like watching radio---it was SO fuzzy. But if there was something on there I wanted to see, I squinted through it and used my imagination. I remember seeing the Dead End Kids on 45 now and then. Didn't see Captain Chesapeake, but I remember promos on 20 for Count Gore DeVol and his horror movies.

When I was out on the patio the other night with Har, I heard an owl hoo'ing!
It was so beautiful. It seemed to be coming from a tree over by "my" red barn. The sky was clear, stars all around, and almost a full moon. And I had to pinch myself, I feel so blessed. So wonderful to be back home.

Okay, my favorite peeps. I finally bit the bullet and posted a blog entry. If you read it, let me know what you think. Thanks for input!

I can't find it in my phone..

But, look forward to reading it when I can use our desktop!!
