Christmas Countdown - 2013

Our neighbors' home was broken into while they were out. Their entire house was trashed and things from jewelry to video game systems were stolen. Whoever it was then unlocked all of their windows so they could return. Please keep my family in your thoughts/prayers in case this person does come back. It's so creepy that the person came in broad daylight and I never even noticed anything going on.

I like your thinking.... Yup, I guess I will have to really pace myself from all that snow we got outside! Yea... I got up at 4:30 this morning, looked outside and saw some light snow coming down. So, I went downstairs, got my morning cup of Joe and turned on what else of course, None other than the Weatherchannel.

Well Lord behold, they were calling for 7"-14" of snow, exactly right over where I live... I about jumpped for joy. (Now of course, if you know me, then you would know that I have been hopeing for some snow all winter and this would finially be it)! So far this year and all of last year has been a complete bust for any snow.

So, I went outside and it was raining, and I took the wife to work and then I went to work myself. With baited breath, I have been looking out the window all day waiting for the snow, all it was doing was raining. I checked Accuweather, Foots forecast and the weatherbug, and they all said that right around noon, we were going to get dumped on. I left work, hurried up home, made a fire in the fireplace and turned on the TV to the weather channel and they had revised the forecast for my area to 5"-7" of snow. I looked outside and it was still raining.:-?

I left the house went to pick up the wife and it was still raining. The idiots have completely gotten the entire weather forecast 100% wrong. Snow, what snow, all I see is rain, rain, rain.... I'm a little peeved right about now. For 5 days now, all they have been talking about was the impending storm, got everyone all worked up and what happend, nothing! I GOT A ROCK...... It was a bigtime bust of a snow event... Again, another yaer of no snow,,,I'm bummed out:-(!

Hey everyone! Time to go back and catch up on posts.

If you get a second, please say a prayer for my pap or keep him in your thoughts. He never gets sick and he has a pretty bad cold. He is almost 88, so I am afraid it could get worse and turn into something like pneumonia. We are supposed to get 6 inches of that really heavy and wet snow so I am worried he is going to go out there to shovel and make himself worse or hurt himself. Thanks if you don't mind!!

Now I am gonna go back and catch up on posts. At least my new computer is fast! My old one went and fried on me....I had to spend all of the money I saved on a new one.

My Dr. called me back and suggested to stop taking the loopy pills, because they may be reacting with my anxiety meds. You think he would have checked that before prescribing the loopy pills. :-?

Hi everyone!!

Sorry I haven't been around in a few weeks but I have been completely tied up with school and I have finally finished my Bachelors Program with a BS in Information Systems whoo hoo!!! So I am taking a couple of weeks off before getting ready to start on my MBA. I hope you have all been having a wonderful time and staying safe in the snow The most activity we have had is some hail this afternoon. Have a great night everyone!!

Boston.com is saying it's difficult because the snow will be melting and compacting as it falls, so what you see on the ground won't represent the amount that has actually fallen. I don't know if that holds true out where you are, though. I worry about how much will stick to the roads. Tonight should be fine, but after work tomorrow ... lately I seldom know when I have to stay later until it happens.

Good evening, MMC!

I am about done with the work I wanted to finish today. I got to work from home on my computer - yay! I did get booted off four times, so we'll see how well it has been fixed on my ISP's side. There was nothing wrong with the phone lines or my computer or modem which is great as that means it won't cost me anything.

It was a nice day out and I had to turn down an invitation to spend the day shopping. It would have been nice but there was too much to do here. I think I came out all right as I got to spend part of the afternoon with all of you! cheesy

I love getting ready for snow weather. To me, it was always exciting to go the the store and stock up on stuff and snack food.

I agree! My house is stocked with goodies. I have chocolate chip cookies in the oven right now. The snow didn't begin to fall yet but I can hear the wind, it's really picking up. I'm all ready for the storm.
