It was 75 degrees here yesterday. Now, there's cold rain and ice forming on trees and it's only in the 30s! What a difference a day makes.

Hey all!

It's now 1/4 to 10 and with a glass of wine, I'm toasting absent friends.

Got the next two days off - can you say "long weekend"??!!!!!!!

Got a chest x-ray tomorrow (still got left-over whooping cough) so they're checking that out just because it's been going on since February

Despite the snow (yes, we're still snowing) I am planning on taking the garden center by force over the weekend and start putting together planters and hanging baskets. It will be interesting to see if I can actually put this plan in motion or whether it remains another one of my good intentions (I'm telling you, my road to hell is going to be SO well paved!!!!!)

Wednesday and it's after 5! Ya-hoooo, were officially over the hump....

I went to an orthopaedic surgeon to get my results from an MRI I had taken of my knee last week. He confirmed to me that the pain that I have been having in my knee for the past 6 months (I did it pushing a 12,000 watt generator around the house, in the rain, during Hurricane Sandy - now, not so smart of an idea...), was from a torn Meniscus. That means surgery on April 22nd. :-?

The surgeon said the MRI showed a torn meniscus, some floaters and some arthritis, nice... He said he'll go in there and clean it out while he's there; roto-roter??? :? I'm not even 50 yet and it's already starting....lol

So, one good thing that I can remember while I'm home that week, I can be here all day.....

Bummer about your knee - I will be praying for a successful surgery and a quick recovery for you!

It is going well, I am now one of the best dusters in the store! LOL
Friday we have to be there by 7:15am to be settled in the store when opening ceremonies start at 7:30am. Going to be a very busy weekend!

Well...I didn't quite get through everyone's posts for today! WOW! I wish I had more time during the day to be here!

The day went much better today!

I told you that I ended up crying at work yesterday - but I didn't tell you that in the middle of having my melt-down...my boss walked into my office! Well...I could not just turn the tears off at that point - so he stood there and listened to me crying and saying how I am overwhelmed...boo-hoo-hoo...and how I feel like I'm failing...waaa-waaa-waaaa. :lol:

Then...all he could say was "But...you have a really pretty Spring dress on today"!

I couldn't laugh about it then...but I have laughed since! I don't think my boss quite knows what to do when I cry! Hahahaha!

Well...its been lovely catching up with you today! Nighty-night and have sweet dreams of Christmas!!!

I love Barnes & Noble also, the problem is I have a few books on my mind but I can never remember the name or author when I am there. :-?

I am the same way. The library I frequent had a special section devoted to mysteries. It was so easy to go get the next book in a series as I'd just go to the shelf I got the last one from. The last time I was there, they moved them in with all the other fiction books, alphabetized by author. I was lost! cheesy

long day---up at 3a.m. To catch the plane. Arrived safely in md, went to a local ball game (we lost 5-2), picked up a few snacks (snakes to you, seawaters), skimmed through the posts while my eyes are able to stay open. I'm thinking of you all with a full heart. Time for bed.

cooked dinner (the worst I ever prepared....usually it tastes nice...but I managed to put about a pound of salt in it....U get the picture....N A S T Y ).....Kandice told me she had a headache....i told her, that if she doesn´t like the taste of the food...it is alright...but she has to tell me the truth...and not make up a headache, just because she doesn´t want to eat......

well.....after almost 30minutes of screaming in pain and throwing up...she is finally sleeping...and I am quite sure...she indeed did not fake her headache, to prevent herself from eating the nasty dinner.....poor thing....

I think it is migraine again...she will probably sleep all through the night and all will be fine tomorrow.....but just in case...it would be nice if Y´all could say a prayer for little Kandice

It's actually "Ding Dong the Witch is Dead" from the Wizard of Oz which has taken the charts by storm. You're right, Shellie - the amount of hatred is tangible. Whichever way you look at it, she was a strong leader and deserves respect - especially in death - whether you agreed with her policies or not.

Throwing parties because she's dead isn't quite the right way to do it

Taking mom to an appointment then some shopping. After that I need to study for tomorrows store opening.

that poor little guy. I feel bad for all of her fur kids, they must be so sad & confused. I've been praying for them every night. I will continue to pray more, really breaks my heart.

Hi my beloved Christmas friends.

MChaney, Louanne´s niece has contacted me on facebook...because of work and the funeral she doesn´t have the time today to come on here....She wants You guys to know that poor little Wishbone is not doing well. The poor baby won´t eat...He is grieving...as we all do...just that he is very sick ....Louanne was so concerened about him...it would be so sad if he has to die, too now....on the other hand...he would be reunited with his Momma!
MChaney also asked us for prayers today....for her, the family, loved ones and of course the furbabies.....

Dear Lord...
today, as Louanne´s body is laid to rest in her final place, I ask You to lay Your arms around her family and every who loved her, including all the members here on this message board and of course Louanne´s beloved furbabies, Wishbone, Clancy, Hermione, Smokey and Lilly....We all miss her, and are sure she is happy cradled in Your arms right now.....Please give comfort to all who are mourning our Angel....Amen

Louanne...You won´t ever be forgotten!!! You left Your fingerprints (from typing those beautiful messages) on in our hearts! Rest in Peace
