I got home from work yesterday, and found out that the leaves were opening up on our big oak and maple trees and the blossoms are finally coming out on our dogwoods. And this morning we had our first thunderstorm of the year. Hooray!
thinking about you all, and worrying about the ice and wind where you are, cs, and those who are where the flooding is. Also thinking calming thoughts for cs, and cozy warm thoughts to chase away cah's cold.
We slept late today to make up for the long day yesterday, then just bummed around frederick, including a visit to our favorite used-book shop. Mr. Is now boxing up our finds to ship home. Also found some nice birthday gifts for friends. Had a substantial dinner at a local buffet.
We'll bum around a little more tomorrow, then probably get together with my aunt, my cousin, and his family later tomorrow, then the service for my dad is saturday morning. Got some of the final details settled today and will be talking to the pastor tomorrow afternoon, so we should be all set at last.
Can't believe it's 9:45 already.
Came up with a wonderful idea for an afghan over dinner, or rather mr. Did.
Sorry this is so disjointed---i don't compose well on the ipad ...
Good night, everyone.![]()
Well what a day it has been. THe last 2 weeks We have been getting ready for our move in early June.. I have decided to play baseball again this spring for the Base and I think this will be my last.. I am 38 and just can't keep up with the 19 and 20 year olds...but I try. But when I just found out about Louanne me and Brandi are really devastated and I am sitting here crying like I did when my father passed away... Things will not be the same whithout her that is for sure...the 3 years I have been here have been so great..I have connected with likeminded folks who share the love of the holidays...and I do love each and every one of you guys even though I am not around as much as I use to be it is because of work and things...I sure do miss it when I am not here...Just wanted everyone to know that...talk to yall later...!
Good morning everyone! Its very early but I have to start getting ready for work today it should be the last 12 hour day for a while....oh btw I have been working overtime due to the cuts in the military you may have heard were coming that is entirely off the subject though. I have had a night to reflect on the passing of Louann and I sure will miss her I know we all will but This holiday 2013 we should strive to make it a great one like other posters have said like in her honor...She will be in Heaven where everyday for her will be like Christmas and there will be no sadness like there is here on earth and although we miss her she is in such a better placeanyhow I cant get her off my mind....I guess it will take time for this to settle in...I hope everyone has a blessed morning! Iwill be back later on tonight!
take care. We all feel the same such a shock i must have cryed on and of for 2 days, but feels better being on here with all her friends .
Power went off at 2am, now at 6:30am still off. Thick layer of ice on everything. Power. Is on at the other end of town where store is so I will get to work today. Very windy, told these two to go to Littlecs's place if power not on by 10am.

Good morning, MMC!
The river is supposed to crest later this evening - about a foot and a half over flood stage. The basement was pumped out this morning - so far nothing has been damaged. Yay!
Have a MERRY day!!!

I have talked to brandi as usual during her planning period and she told me she broke down in front of her class when a particular subject came up she just said it reminded of me talking to her about how much Louann loved animals and how I would tell snowball everynight that aunt louann told him goodnight. This will take us all time to get use to MMC without her posts everyday. I guess I have just known now a little over 14 hours...anyway I just want to get home and give Brandi a kiss and the boys and snowball and Kylee a huge hug! I am feeling for her dog that was sick..especially since she has passed..well here I go again...
