Good morning my fellows Christmas friends. It appears the babysitter is sick so had to call out of work to take care of the little princess. So three day weekend and lots of playing can't beat that.

Good morning everyone!

Busy day ahead. In fact, busy week! Today, I have a doctor's appointment at lunch. After work, I have to go to the gym and then from there it is straight to a "Learn to Play" clinic, followed by tryouts. I can move around enough to help out at the clinic. As for tryouts, I'm not moving anywhere near how I want to be quite yet, so I will be on the sideline, once again. My fingers are crossed for some good news at the doctor this afternoon.

Overall, it was a busy weekend. Glad I can look forward to a new week and we can all look forward to starting a new month on Wednesday. May has almost arrived! Also, my dad should be driving in from the Sault on Friday, too. I haven't seen him since just before New Years. It will be great to hangout with, once again. Just in time for the NHL playoffs, too!

The forecast is looking great for the week! Highs are to reach the low 20s and lows are not expected to dip below 10s. 70s and 50s. Very nice! Well, I should return to my work. I have a bit of work I need to remove from my desk... especially since it is my last week here!

Hey Christmas buddies! It's a rainy day here. It also feels like summer too. It's thundering too. I am busy boxing thing up forour move in a few weeks ...things like books we never look at andother odds and ins. There are 3 weeks left of school and I have 5 weeks left of work. Well I hadn't heard from my friend for almost a week but he showed up today. I have to tell you, when I get done turning his story into a movie, no one is going to believe that this really happened. I mean you have to be a special kind of stupid to make this many bad decisions in real life. (Too harsh?)

On the positive side though. It means more timing filming with Angelina Jolie for me!!!! :lol:

I've never heard of that restaurant, but it reminds me of the birthday "ritual" at Bugaboo Creek (a steakhouse chain). They staff would clap their hands and sing "Happy Birthday" to the tune of the Hallelujah Chorus while carrying a plush moose head to the celebrant's table. The final words were "Kiss the moose!" and they'd thrust the moose head toward the celebrant. If we went there on one of our birthdays, we'd keep shut about it ... we couldn't bear thinking about the "kiss the moose" germy-ness of that moose head!

It's very good - it's a steakhouse. It's similar to Outback or Longhorn, if you've ever been to either of those, but Texas Roadhouse is way better then either of those, in my opinion. I think it is worth trying if you ever great to!

Well everyone, now that I've had my afternoon commentary :lol:, I'm all caught up, so I am going to go make a cup of coffee, light a candle, and make a cake for my girlfriend's birthday.

I also need to get a gift together - just some things I bought today for a friend at work - she found out two weeks ago she has colon cancer and she had surgery today. I've know her my whole life. She's my mom's age, so it really hits home. She's a nurse with me. Keep her in your prayers. She did well in surgery. Praying everything continues to go well.

I hope this finds everyone well! I don't have time to catch up at this time as I have so much to do yet today.

This morning I took Mouse to the vet's - she either has a tooth problem or something much worse. I take her back on Wednesday. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers!

My basement is getting back to normal - the floor is still a mess, but it is to be expected as it is a "Michigan basement". With the area drying out, my phone started working again - that is why I am on here today. It is always something here. cheesy

I have several broccoli and acorn squash plants started - they are looking good. Today I started fennel, sage, rosemary and sweet baby peppers. I plan on having a really big garden - it is fun!

Time to get back to work.

Awesome steaks!! I usually don't like steaks at chain restaurants, but these are really good cuts! And the bread & potatoes are out of this world, too! I could eat the fresh peanuts all day =]
