I also wanted to have a conversation with someone I know on here that if there are questions I can ask them. I wasn't interested in joining any other forum or posting questions online to people I don't know. I am more comfortable chatting with my Christmas friends! You know, they are the best people on the internet!

I welcome any private messages regarding this so I don't flood the Countdown with medical stuff. =)

Sugar, I am offended by that Jeff Gordon comment. I am a fan of his!

Ha ha ha ha ha! Kidding you! I am a fan but I saw that on facebook too and got a big laugh!!! I have always enjoyed the Jeff Gordon banter when I tell someone I am a big fan of his. We use to go to the races all the time and while everyone booed him, I cheered him on!

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

I hope I didn't creep anyone out with that picture earlier. Maybe I should have saved it for closer to Halloween!

Elizabeth woke up feeling a little off this morning. I took her to school a little later when she felt better. I hope she's not getting sick. Her first ballet recital is tomorrow.

It's windy, overcast & rainy and a little cool today. That means I don't have to cut the grass today, either!

Good morning!
My father had his surgery yesterday. It kept getting delayed, they didn't take him in until the late afternoon. The doctor performed a bypass and it was a complete success! It was so nerve wracking the way they rushed him in to the city like that. I wish that he was closer so that I could just go run up and see him. But I am happy that he is in good hands there. Hopefully we will find out today how long they expect him to be there. I wanted to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers, it means so much to me. You are all amazing. So very thoughtful, kind and caring. I'm lucky to be part of this forum!!!

Glad his surgery went well, my friend, I'll keep your Dad in my prayers. (((Hugs))) xo

Hello everyone. I haven't been on much this week so I am way behind on posts. I hope you all are well!

I ended up not being at work yesterday as I called in sick. Wednesday night I was up until 4:00 am as I could not sleep. Turns out, I have a pinched nerve in my lower back! That thing hurts like a son of a gun! It has been shooting pain into the front of my left leg. Anyway, I'm sure it will be better soon and not anything big...be back to normal soon.

The doc has me on a steroid. He said it won't give me 'roid rage, but will make me hungry. So, my BBQ bender I have planned for this weekend may have just gotten even bigger.

Updated news on my mom. Since she has fractured her ankle she will be having surgery and has to have screws put in. She is very nervous about it.

If anyone has been through this could you please send me a private message? She is wanting info on what to expect to calm her nerves and I can pass that info along to her. Thanks in advance!

Prayers and good thoughts sent her way will be greatly appreciated!

Finally caught up on the all the posts! How are you all doing? All is well here!

I've been doing wash this am and trying to stay inside. My allergies are going wild as well. I finally broke down and went back on my Allergra. This allergy season is so bad. Since we went shopping yesterday and bought the kids a ton of new clothes, I need to start going through their closets today and start packing winter clothes away.

Good morning everyone!
Well. My final day at Health Canada has arrived. At 12:30 pm, I will be leaving work for a physiotherapy appointment. It will be the end of my final shift here. I've been in and out of the office since November 2011. Although it would be nice to come but, I'm really hoping to have something permanent before I can return here next year. We shall see! Onward and upward, as they say.
My dad arrives today. I'm excited. Again, he's driving from Sault Ste. Marie and should arrive around 3 pm. It should be a night filled with hockey watching. Who am I kidding? It will be a night and weekend filled with hockey watching! We'll see if he has any other plans when he arrives.
Hopefully I'll have time to enjoy the weather this weekend. Again, temperatures are to be in the mid 20s all weekend. And, of course, the sun will be shining, too. I love all the seasons, especially Winter, but it is truly a great feeling to finally have warm weather back in Ottawa.
Well, I hope you're all ready for the weekend. It's only a few hours away. Have a great Friday!

God love her. am sure she is nervious. think someone else said about a site. i cant help sorry am just bones but i can say a wee prayer that all goes well for her. i know people that have had these things done and has been a great job.. gooddluck ~}
