It is sunny today, and the birds are singing. I may brave the deck in my winter coat & have coffee out there =]

Our high is @ 70 degrees, my fingers are crossed!

What are your plans for the day?

I need to run some errands & walk Harlowe, and get ready for Adi to get home later tonight.

Hey everybody!!! How's Sunday looking for you all??!! I've done 3 loads of laundry, including sheets which are currently hanging outside in the - for the first time in a long time - warm sunny weather!!! It's fantastic!!!

Have discovered that one of our stations is running 3 Christmas movies back to back this afternoon so have to get my ironing assembled to take advantage of that (hey, multi-tasking; I've never tried it before but there's a first time for everything, eh?!!!)

Good morning!
Today will be sunny but cool, we will only have temperatures in the 50's. I went to a baby shower yesterday and it was held outside in a backyard and we were freezing! It was not only cool but breezy too which made it so much worse. They had a hard time keeping the tablecloths and decorations held down. They had vases with flowers that were getting blown over, plates of food were flying in to peoples laps. Well you get the idea, lol. I'm sure they were praying for a nice spring day, I felt so bad. But we still had fun. I love baby showers, they make me happy. It is such a special time for the parents to be.
Anyway, my girls all have to work today. I have one that will be out the door in a few minutes and I have to get the other two moving soon. My brothers are driving in to the city today to visit my father. I wish I could just drop everything and go with them but unfortunately I can not do that. I'm going to call him this morning to see how he feels. I can't wait until he comes home so I can go visit. He will hopefully be home by Tuesday.
I hope everyone is well and has a very happy Sunday!!!

Good Morning MMC!!!!!!! It's going to be another overcast day here and we may finally see some of that rain they have been talking about. Not much on the agenda for today. Just heading to church and then back home for some Nascar racing from Talladega!!!! I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!!!!

Yes, I did have a good time. Gentleman Jim is a wonderful instructor. I also won two door prizes! But I just couldn't give it 100%, though. The activities continue through today, but I think I am going to skip it. Hubby and I will probably go out for Mexican food in Chico. At least that has been our tradition, LOL!

I am finally getting around to listening to some of the Merry podcasts as I finish up some final school assignments on the computer. It's great to hear some of your voices! It's wonderful.

Jeff Westover, the esteemed founder of MMC, sounds like a radio pro!

MerryCarey, you sound as if you could be in the movies!

And, I've noticed are dearly missed CM3 is on an episode. I have not brought myself to listen to that one quite yet, but what a blessing it will be to hear her voice!

I cannot believe what you just wrote, but I, too, for some odd reason, keep waiting to see a post from her. This post is making me cry!

Goooood Sunday morning everyone!!! It's cold here going into late spring and our temps are in the 40's this morning! It feels great and I am enjoying it because later this month we will probably be in the 90's! It's been a great weekend with my buddy here from out of town and he will be leaving today but we are going to have a cookout before he leaves. I already have some boneless ribs thawing out! I also noticed it's the 5th of May which means today marks one month since we lost Louann! It has gone by so fast and yet I almost still wait to se one of her posts show up..I still have a hard time accepting that although she is gone from earth I know she is in heaven looking down on us and not wanting us to be sad!! So with that I hope everyone has a great morning!

Thought I posted last night, but it doesn't appear that I did....

Bought groceries last night.....a lot of groceries....we were out of everything! It took us at least an hour and a half to put everything away! We usually go and buy groceries once a month or once every three weeks...and we got to talking about Christmas because Hobby Lobby is right by our WalMart. One more month to go and Christmas stuff is out!

We are almost 1/2 way there....

Good morning, Christmas friends. Since I was not home in time for church yesterday, Hubby and I will attend Mass this morning. Then we will go out for breakfast at Denney's where I get my breakfast free! Getting older has ts perks, LOL! I am mostly going to rest today and will call the doctor's office to schedule an infusion. We are going to Anaheim for Elks and of course two visits to Disneyland between May 14-May 19 and I want to feel good. I will be here off and on today. Thanks for all the wonderful birthday wishes!

Wow!!! From one veteran to another, I thank him from the bottom of my heart for his service to this country, he is, a Hero!!!! And we are all very proud of his bravery....Thank you for sharing this!

I recently just finished a 1-1/2 year investigation into my wifes grandfathers military career/ record. His military records were destroyed in a huge fire back in the 1970's at a military records warehouse. Upon moving him out of his house and into a assisted living facility, we came across several military documents. I researched them, and contacted the US Army, military records and with the help from them, we were able to re-establish his military record. We found out that that he earned a Bronze star and a Plillipine Liberation medal with 4 bronze stars and a purple heart and 4 other medals and ribbons. He never knew that he was awarded them because he was wounded in action from a japanese motar round and sent back to the states. I purchased a shadow box and place them in there and gave it to him for Christmas, he cried, which brought tears to my eyes as well.
