We had a bit of rain in the early afternoon yesterday and late in the evening then a hard overnight downpour. Didn't interfere with any plans and the temps were still at pleasant levels. It may rain some more today and tomorrow.
We are at 67 damp degrees here, currently.
Well, Carl returned from the Preakness with a smile on his face. Wouldn't say how things went but did indicate he might be able to swing some additional minor improvements at the Shispering Pines.
Was "Oxbow" the "Camel's Choice" he mentioned?? (He did come in at 15-1, you know.)
That Carl can be rather tight-lipped when he really wants to be!
Anyway, you have a Super Sunday, Friends!

Morning all, it's a much better day weather wise here, and my wife and I are off visiting my in laws. Looking forward to a nice chicken dinner when we get home. Maybe a glass of wine

Good Morning MMC!!!! It's going to be a hot one here today with a high of 86 predicted and the humidity is going to be terrible too. So my day is going to be spent sitting around in the a/c. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!

Yay!
It is such a blast to explore while bike riding. While we are at the lake we have our "speed demons" racing around while we go at a very leisure pace. Nothing wrong with speeding around, they are getting their workout in! With us we get a workout but it's just so nice to take it easy and really soak up the atmosphere around us. Every speedy bike passes us on the trail while we take our time looking at everything from ducks, birds, squirrels, boats, trees, everyone walking their dogs and more. We sometimes stop to meet people, especially the ones with dogs! I am always wanting to stop to pet the doggies!
We also stop at the dog park and watch the dogs play. Then we take a break to have our light lunch then continue the bike ride. We have our cheap little Huffy bikes while most are on their bikes that cost 500 bucks and up! I don't mind, I love my purple bike! It sounds like you both had an amazing time. I am looking forward to hearing more stories you have on you and your hubby's bike ride!
For those of you who haven't seen my bike, here it is! Yes, it might be tacky to some but I just love it! One day while riding around the lake I heard someone say, "wow, look at that purple bike"! Not sure if they were making fun of it, or liked it but if they didn't like it, I don't care. :lol:
All this talk of bike riding and Wayne and I didn't even make it out for one yesterday. I have felt completely wiped out the past few days and was just way too tired to go. We ran all our errands, went out to lunch and were home by 2:30. We ended up laying around the rest of the day watching TV and playing each other, Words with Friends between, Wayne, my daughter and I on our phones. I kept attempting to get up throughout the day but just felt terrible and laid back down. Wayne said he was feeling really tired too. I guess it's okay to have one of those days occasionally!
Today I will be skipping church but Wayne might end up going without me. I have a very busy day at work and slept in today to be rested up for it. I don't want to feel like I have the past few days. So far I feel pretty good!

It is going to be cloudy today, with scattered showers and a high of 62. Two of my girls are supposed to go in to work but they may not have to if it keeps raining. They will call their jobs a little later on to find out. No big plans for me today. If the girls are all home from work I would love to take them out shopping and then go visit my parents. Then back home to make spaghetti and meatballs for dinner.
I hope everyone has a very happy Sunday!!!

Well, I guess it's a chicken day at MMC....I just put on supper for tonight and it's crockpot Chicken Nachos.
Gonna be a hot and humid one here today, as well. High supposed to be 91, so it looks like I'm going to be in the yard. Good thing I bought some sunscreen!
