Thank you so much for all the prayers and concern last night. It was a long and stressful night and my heart goes out to the families of the five who were killed across Oklahoma last night. We are safe with little damage except some outside stuff that is easily fixed. Spent too much time in that dang tornado shelter though!
Thanks again for the concern and it shows why this is the best place to be and I wouldn't trade y'all or MMC for anything!

Yep, we are all good here. We got a lot of rain and some strong winds but nothing to bad. They even canceled the tornado watch a couple of hours early so I managed to get some sleep. Now we just have to see what this afternoon brings but it sounds like it's just going to be more heavy rain.

The van is all packed now, just getting the teenagers up, grabbing my coffee and off we go..... Next stop sunny Orlando Florida!

Good Morning MMC!!!! Like I said above it's going to be a rainy, stormy day here with a high in the upper 70's. So my plan for today is to stay home and get some work done around the apartment. I may also do some baking. I haven't made homemade cinnamon rolls in forever so maybe I will up a batch. I hope everyone is having a GREAT DAY!!!!!!!

we´ve had lots and lots of rain....now it looks like it did right before last Christmas.....the river I live closeby will probably flood....we have already put most of the furniture up on some higher blocks and are crossing our fingers, that the water won´t come into the house....the way it seems now....we will have to leave the house sometime tomorrow

Hello everyone!
It is going to be another hazy, hot and humid day here.
Not a lot planned for today. I am going to do my food shopping in a little while. I have no idea what I will be doing this afternoon, I'm thinking about going to the mall to do some clothes shopping. My husband and the girls are all busy today doing there own thing but I'm hoping we will all be able to meet up for dinner. I'm taking a break and not cooking tonight, dinner will be some kind of take out.

Good morning, MMC!

I did not like the looks of the weather map I saw earlier, so I am staying home today with Mouse and Palmer. Such a busy day yesterday. I was able to catch up on the boards as I was visiting with my cousin and she has cable internet - smokin' fast, at least compared to what I have. cheesy I'm used to mine, though, so all is good. I've learned to work around download times. Or is it upload - never sure what term is appropriate! Anyhow, I was able to get caught up on a lot of things so today will be spent puttering around the house doing the usual: cleaning, organizing and cooking. I have to do a bit of paperwork for the store, but it shouldn't take more than an hour or two.

If there aren't any storms occurring at the time, I will check in later this evening a little bit before the Greasy Skillet.

We will soon be on our way to Chico again this a.m. Hubby has to go in for a fasting blood test. Afterwards, it's over to Carl's Jr. (Hardees to the East Coast) for a breakfast biscuit. I am going to have to try the smoked sausage one today! I cannot believe how good those biscuits are. Even their gravy is outstanding, and I don't normally eat gravy at all!!! Glad Made and Ryan are safe. XmasTidings, have a wonderful trip; but I already know you will. Hubby and I have been there twice, all the way from northern California during July. Talk about humid!!! Ugh for the hair, but great for the skin!

My son found an apartment right across the street from his work. He may soon get on full time! PTL!!!
