It's funny to read about the hot weather most of you are having. Today, in my neck of the woods it is cold, overcast and windy with showers of rain every now and then. Really, it's perfect Sunday weather...especially since I have all my school reports to write. Enjoy your warmer weather and holidays-if you have them.:sparkle:

Continued very warm and increasingly humid yesterday, but still not too bad.
Nothing like July and August will be!

Hello everyone!
It is going to be a little bit cooler today than it has been the past few days. It will be sunny with a high of 80. Back in to the 70's tomorrow :-D

Not too much planned for me today. I am going to start a pot of sauce in a little bit and then get some chores done.

My youngest daughter quit her job. Again. I'm really not upset this time though. She loved Haagen Dazs when she first started. But that soon changed when they started giving her 8 and 9 hour shifts on the weekend. There were also days that she had to go there straight after school. Some of these employers expect way too much from these kids. I hope we can find her something else. We want them to work but there has to be a balance. It can't interfere with school and homework. And they still have to be able to have some down time with there friends. So I will be job hunting with her later this afternoon. We may go through the outlets again for applications. And maybe we could do some shopping too. It is a beautiful day to walk around there.

Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well and has a very happy Sunday!!!

I agree!! I worked for Steak n Shake when I was in high school and they were the same way. They had me working almost 40 hours a week. Needless to say, I didn't stay there long. I ended up just working Seasonal jobs at Christmas and then the Boy Scout camp during the summer.

Welcome, Magpie. It was really hot here yesterday (in the 100s) Next weekend, it is supposed to be up to 106 for at least two days. Oh, joy. Not! Wish I had your weather!

That's right! It's Sunday and pasta day for you. We have game hens marinating in some Jack Daniels mesquite marinade. We will also have wild rice, hush puppies, veggies, and Strawberry Mallo Cheesecake Squares (for dessert). Good luck to your daughter!

Hey everybody, just wanted to check in and let everyone know that we made here safe and sound. We were about 2 hours off schedule due to I-95 was completely shut down because of a bad accident in North Carolina and all the traffic was diverted to 301 (which is a single lane road) so, you can imagine the traffic jam... Then, just as we got thru Jacksonville Florida, I looked in my rear view mirror and all of a sudden I see this little car flying on I-95 (must of been doing 90 miles an hour) and he tries to weave thru several lanes of traffic at that rate of speed, a he clips the backend of a pickup truck. all of a sudden he's going sideways and spinning around in the middle of I-95 and cars are going all over the place and then I see dirt flying about 30 feet up in the air.... Now, look at me.... I paying attention to everything behind me and not looking at the road!

Who knows what happened, luckly we were no where's to be involved in it but if I would have been 5 seconds slower, it could have been ugly....

Well, we are at the condo and now going to go out and get some din-din...I see ya all tomorrow on the flip side..Goodnight!

Good afternoon!
Went shopping earlier and picked up some impatiens for the yard. I'm going to wait until this evening to plant them, it's so darn hot out. Our Iris flowers are blooming and I just thought I would share a picture. I can't believe how tall they are getting. One good thing about these warmer temperatures are all of the beautiful flowers that bloom!

Good evening,

Long very busy day at work, hot day outside. One of our cats was missing most of the day, they are all indoor cats so he must have snuck out at some point. We finally found him around 8pm, hiding in the garage, at least he is back in nice and safe.
Just watching the Penguins vs bruins in the Eastern Conference Final, this game is exciting, and the teams already have developed a hate towards each other and we are only through 2 periods. Bruins are leading 1-0.

Go Bruins!!!

I got a very nice early birthday present (a little over a month early) today. Mr. found me a nearly pristine copy of a particular 45-rpm British Christmas record from 1959 that I had wanted. It arrived today, and the condition and audio quality are amazing. It was a professional sample for a radio station, and it plays like the station never used it. I digitized both sides so I can add them to my iPhone during the season. Yippee!

What a great gift!!
