Good morning everyone! We are getting ready to head out of town after a wild weekend! A lot of our community was without power until yesterday after Friday's storms. But i am heading on vacation and hope i dont even think of the weather! I hope ever y one who traveled this weekend is safely st their destination and having fun! I will c heck in later.

I am exhausted!! Not as young as I used to be!! We were on the go constantly, and didn't get a whole lot of sleep. Plus, we ate out so much, that I need to get back on track. It was fun while it lasted, though

Dang, darn, dang, darn, darn, dang! Sorry to use such harsh language, but just read the latest status report on our weather. All the conditions exist for more slow moving tornadoes tonight. So, where should I move? Any of ya'll have states you love and highly recommend?

I love my home but this is getting old, to say the least!

The mountains of western NC is a great place to live and raise a family. Tornadoes are very rare. Finding a job is the problem. It took us 3 years to find a job so we could change careers and move back home.

Hey everybody, just wanted to check in and let everyone know that we made here safe and sound. We were about 2 hours off schedule due to I-95 was completely shut down because of a bad accident in North Carolina and all the traffic was diverted to 301 (which is a single lane road) so, you can imagine the traffic jam... Then, just as we got thru Jacksonville Florida, I looked in my rear view mirror and all of a sudden I see this little car flying on I-95 (must of been doing 90 miles an hour) and he tries to weave thru several lanes of traffic at that rate of speed, a he clips the backend of a pickup truck. all of a sudden he's going sideways and spinning around in the middle of I-95 and cars are going all over the place and then I see dirt flying about 30 feet up in the air.... Now, look at me.... I paying attention to everything behind me and not looking at the road!

Who knows what happened, luckly we were no where's to be involved in it but if I would have been 5 seconds slower, it could have been ugly....

Well, we are at the condo and now going to go out and get some din-din...I see ya all tomorrow on the flip side..Goodnight!

Good evening,

Long very busy day at work, hot day outside. One of our cats was missing most of the day, they are all indoor cats so he must have snuck out at some point. We finally found him around 8pm, hiding in the garage, at least he is back in nice and safe.
Just watching the Penguins vs bruins in the Eastern Conference Final, this game is exciting, and the teams already have developed a hate towards each other and we are only through 2 periods. Bruins are leading 1-0.

Go Bruins!!!

It's funny to read about the hot weather most of you are having. Today, in my neck of the woods it is cold, overcast and windy with showers of rain every now and then. Really, it's perfect Sunday weather...especially since I have all my school reports to write. Enjoy your warmer weather and holidays-if you have them.:sparkle:

Joseph Tyler is doing very well and I got to spend a couple of hours cuddling with him yesterday while my daughter rested and my son-in-law was out strolling Jack. It was heaven!

Please pray for my sister, she has a badly infected cyst on her finger and is currently at emergency for the 2nd time in two days as it is not healing and is badly swollen and sore. If it does not heal up they are talking about removing the top half of her finger.

Whew! Talk about panic...I was stressed about not being able to get on here! I don't think I have been able to get here since Tuesday or Wednesday. It was actually a blessing in disguise. To get my Christmas fix, I had to revert to my ways before I found MMC. Let me tell you, I didn't realize how much I truly enjoyed this place until I couldn't get here. I take a lot of things for granted and our space is one of them!

If I missed anything in the past few days, I'm sorry. I hope everyone is great! Good to be back!

Happy Monday morning all. Should be a little cooler this week than last with forecast highs in upper 70s and lows in mid 50s. It was 58 when I left for work this morning. That is not bad but I would prefer highs in low 60s and lows in low 40s this time of year.

The bear is still around but he hasn't come on the porch, as far as I know. We haven't been cooking at home the last few days trying to keep the food smell down. My wife isn't complaining.

Good morning!!! Chilly morning at that!!! :cold: It was 47 this morning for our walk - had to get the pants back out....calling for a high of 69 for the day! Thats pretty chilly for June! But it was awesome walking weather!

Safe travels to xmas, sugar, ryan & anyone else traveling! Hope you all have wonderful vacations!!!

Snowflake - sounds like you had a blast with your cousins! How fun! I know what you mean - food, drinks, little sleep - so fun while it lasts & then comes reality! You'll get back on track & caught up on sleep! Or drink MORE coffee!!!!

I have Friday off work this week. Some girls from the lake are coming up Thursday & we are going to a beer tasting Thursday night just a mile from the marina where our trailers are. We figured we would do beer tasting & pizza & a bonfire back at the marina after! I'm looking so fwd to it!! I'm not sure if my hubby will join us - he has to work Friday, but our trailer is actually closer to where he works than our home is, so he could easily stay if he wants - he will just have to work Friday & we won't! :dance: I love it when we spend a week night at the lake! :-D

Thank you for all the prayers, my sister will not loose the finger. She still has a lot of healing to do and it looks aweful, but she will recover.

So glad to hear she will keep the finger. I hope the healing is quicker and easier than expected.

Putting the finishing touches on packing today, then heading for the airport in the wee hours. Excited and nervous to get on our way.

I could use some prayers for guidance, please. I got some more unexpected news about my father's unresolved estate. The current (second) executor is quitting; the first executor, who embezzled five figures from the estate, is still hiding out somewhere; the estate lawyer can't make a claim for the bond issued to her as executor until she's found and brought to court. And that can't be done unless I agree to take over as executor. I honestly don't know if I have the time or money to pick up the ball. My share of the estate, before the bond is claimed, is less than a third of what I've already paid in legal expenses to try to untangle the mess. The bond is for less than half of the amount she actually stole (before legal fees are deducted). I can't shuttle back and forth between Massachusetts and Florida if I'm required to be there in person. I don't know if I can afford the time and money to keep pursuing this, yet the thought of letting her get away with her thievery is unbearable. It's going to be hard to keep this off my mind while we're away. It'll be a very hard decision to make.

It's chilly here, too!! Frost warnings at night..what the?! It is June, right?

Not that I mind, I love these temps! Hopefully we'll have a normal summer at some point, because I don't want to skip Fall.
