Christmas Countdown - 2013

Good Monday everyone! I am on lunch break and just wanted to pop in to say hey! I am trying to stay off internet at least the first day.lol maybe in a few weeks I will come back more often during the work day. Everything is going good though and I really am liking the people I am with. Tonight we are eating chicken and lime tortillas and that sounds great! Have a great day everyone!

If you are ever in the mood for a little road trip, I recommend Maddox Ranch House. Man, their food is great! Homemade rolls, corn bread, and they even make their own root beer! They raise their own beef. They have a turkey steak that is good, too. It's up where I used to live, in Brigham City.

Heads up for those east of California: Woke up during the night to a LOUD thunderstorm!!! It is a little chilly outside and the sky is overcast. The thunder is the loudest I have ever heard in CA--it even rattled the windows and woke me up. WEIRD weather!!!

We are under thunderstorm watches and even a tornado watch! This rain is INSANE! We got 4 inches on Friday and Lord knows how much today. My back yard floods so badly (high water table + my neighbor's sloping garade + being lower than the back alley = trouble!!) and I've pumped it out TWICE and it's a swamp out there again! Still raining! I give up for the day, ugh!!!

Howdy! Wow! I have been away for 10 days. Way too long but still don't have time to do much on here. Busy, busy, tired, tired! Why, oh why does summer have to be so hard on me? We haven't truly hit the high temps yet and it's already wearing me down. It will be in the mid 90's all week and I am not looking forward to the triple digits. I really try to not let it tire me out but it hasn't worked yet.

The good news.... The heat makes me think of Christmas even more!!! We just watched Snowglobe, Home Alone and now A Christmas Story. I say "watch", it's actually just going while we are busy with other things, just nice to hear it in the background!

I am really missing you all but starting Wednesday I will be even more busy. I will do my best to visit more!

Good evening, everyone! How are you all doing? I am well. Just sitting here relaxing, after keeping busy all day around the house. I'm still working on some laundry.

How has your day been going? Mine has been going well. Nothing is new here. I am off tonight yet, then I go back to work tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to that!!! I work 6 days straight then. Booo! Oh well - that's what you get for going on vacation!

What are you all up to tonight? I'm not going to do much since I've been busy all day. I'm going to relax - I'll be busy again tomorrow, so tonight I will relax!

Well, I am waiting on DH and the kids to come back from my in-laws - they kept Ella all week while we were away. I can't wait to see her. They are bringing dinner as well. I will be back later to chat with you guys. God Bless and keep smiling!

Good afternoon from rain-soaked mid-Michigan!

There has been a quiet soaking rain off and on since late last night - great for the gardens. I walked around outside after I got home - I think the tomato plants all grew an inch or more! I spent the morning running errands and looking for store stock - found a few things that just need a good cleaning and also found a pile of Magic Crochet magazines. I am really tempted to keep those as there are some wonderful patterns in them and if I ever got around to making the items, they would make great Christmas gifts!

Can't sleep, again. So I'm laying here watching Rock my RV with Bret Michaels because I can't find anything else on. I guess they've done car makeover shows and semi makeover shows, so RV's were the next logical step.
