Good Tuesday morning, my Christmas friends!

Yesterday afternoon I had to rush out from work and try to get some work done on my part-time business before the rain came...but I didn't make it. So, I worked in the rain and thunder & lightning. As soon as I finished, the clouds parted, the sky cleared and the birds started chirping. I ain't doing something right!

This evening is the first day of Vacation Bible School at church, and I'm the photographer, once again.

I hope to go out to see Star Trek at least once more before it leaves theaters. Then the Superman movie comes out. I'm looking forward to that, too.

Guys! Our friends from MA are staying with us in July and I just realized - it's QVC Christmas in July weekend! How can I sit on my couch with the a/c cranked and Christmas music playing now??? I don't think they'll think that's a really good time! Oh noooooooooo!

It was great. I think I am really going to like it! It is about 100% more laid back than at Valdosta,Ga! It's a smaller base so maybe that has something to do with it. But the people seem very cool. Thanks for asking!

I will definately check it out. I saw it's not available on Netflix for streaming, but it is available on Megashare!
The weekend was great. Girls night was fun, beer tasting was interesting! We were able to try 5 beers (between 3 girls) & we only really didn't like 1 of them - at all! It was a "nut brown" or something like that. Blah! We ordered a basket of munchies instead of pizza & then had a bonfire. We rode our bicycles to the beer tasting. It was a great night!

That is horrible. Praying for his family.

Oh my gosh, that is so sad. Praying for his kids & family.

oh my, that is so shocking and sad. That last picture will be a treasure for his children knowing he was so happy at the end.
My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

My neighbor (who is one of the 3 guys in the picture) has already asked me to order 10 copies + another one in 8 x 10! Just so eerie how a person go from laughing with friends 1 minute to gone the next! We really just never know!

So sorry for his family. It is, indeed a sad situation.

How sad. Praying for this family. God Bless them.

Good evening!
It seems that lately I haven't had as much time to spend here as I would like. This has been such a busy month. We have been to two graduation parties so far and we have three more to go. My husband and daughter will both be celebrating their birthdays soon. I'm also planning a barbecue for Fathers Day. The school year for the girls is coming to an end. We have another week of final exams and then there will be my daughters prom and high school graduation. We are excited and looking forward to it all, it's a good kind of busy!
I have decided to not accept the job offer at the doctors office. The job was only supposed to be a few hours in the morning, two days a week. I was already asked if I would be able to be more flexible and work afternoon/evening shifts and fill in for people when needed. Maybe someday I will be able to do something like that but I'm not ready yet. It's no wonder my username is HomemakinGirl. But I am happy I tried it, now I know.
Anyway, I hope everyone is doing well!

So today it's time to hit the bathroom and then I'll be done with cleaning for the week. I also want to spend some time doing some work on the computer. How are you today?

I am well. But, it's already sticky outside. Boo! It's partly cloudy, with a high of 79 degrees. Time to draw the shades & get the fans going.

What does your day look like?

I still need to take Har for her morning stroll, and do some more studying.

We are going to LaCrosse for Father's Day weekend, this Saturday, and taking Dad out for a nice dinner. The place we go to is about 30 miles away, in a small town. This supper club is amazing! And a family favorite. The salad bar itself is a meal =]

It's going to be 90 here on Wednesday and I'm already sweating just thinking of it.

The first time I read this I misread it to say you were already "swearing" just thinking of the heat. cheesy I thought, wow, Made really hates the heat!

Good morning, friends. It's already hot here in Oklahoma with only more heat headed our way. So, to cool off I threw a few snowballs this morning. Look out, because I'm sure I'll toss a few more before the week is over!

I agree with you, 8 is much better than 80. We are forecast to be in the upper 80s tomorrow. That is just too hot.

Happy Tuesday all. I just noticed the halfway milestone for Christmas is the day we leave on vacation. All the more reason to look forward to June 26.
