Thank you Snowflake. I'm sure you would have helped him too.
His owners didn't even know what kind of collar he had on, they told me the wrong color. They said they have three dogs and switch the collars around. They said that the other collars do have tags. Who knows. And they said he just got out. Not much explanation. I thought they should have been ecstatic too. If it were one of my dogs that was missing, I would have been sobbing. But I am a little loopy when it comes to my pets, lol.

Mr.'s appendectomy went well, but now there are complications owing to a cranial shunt that routes excess fluid into his abdomen. The area it empties into is the same area as the appendix infection, and a neurosurgeon will have to examine him to make sure the infection won't migrate upward through the tubing toward the brain. They won't be able to do this evaluation until tomorrow. There was a similar situation some years ago when the shunt system was breached, and he had to stay in the hospital for weeks until they determined he was completely free of infection. I was a tearful wreck, because we're so close and do so many things together, and I missed him so much. I'm starting to feel that way again. But it's the only way to make sure he's healthy and safe. To make it worse, this all started on his birthday, and it looks like I'm going to miss celebrating my birthday with him this coming week.

I'll try not to be a downer, but just now I'm feeling awfully sad and lonesome, because Mr. is usually the one I go to when I feel bad, but that's not an option right now.

I felt lots better today, so thank you for all your prayers. I spent some time on scrapbooking stuff. I had been looking for a photo carrousel for an online class on Gratitude which I will use for a Thanksgiving focal point. No matter where I checked, both online and off, I could not find one; every place said they were sold out. I ended up ordering a small wooden one that really wasn't what I wanted. I went to the garage to look for my scrapping tools, and lo and behold, I found a carrousel in one of my boxes of stuff!!! I must have ordered it last year and just forgotten about it! I am a happy girl tonight!!! Well, I am going to look at my emails and then watch TV with Hubby. Good night, friends.

We found the dogs owner. I decided to drive around the neighborhood again this afternoon to see if I could find any missing dog posters and thankfully I saw one. I wasn't crazy about the people, they were very nonchalant about the situation and I don't even recall them saying thank you to me. My husband and I gave the dog a bath this morning, he was long overdue for a groomer appointment. He was such a good boy, he got along well with Molly and Maggie and he didn't bark once while he was here. I pray that they are good to him.
Anyway, I didn't get too much done around here today. I am working on a few loads of laundry now. All other chores can wait until tomorrow, I'm so tired. I didn't sleep well last night with the lost dog here, I kept waking up all night and checking on him to see if he was alright. I'm going to take it easy for the rest of the night.
