I felt lots better today, so thank you for all your prayers. I spent some time on scrapbooking stuff. I had been looking for a photo carrousel for an online class on Gratitude which I will use for a Thanksgiving focal point. No matter where I checked, both online and off, I could not find one; every place said they were sold out. I ended up ordering a small wooden one that really wasn't what I wanted. I went to the garage to look for my scrapping tools, and lo and behold, I found a carrousel in one of my boxes of stuff!!! I must have ordered it last year and just forgotten about it! I am a happy girl tonight!!! Well, I am going to look at my emails and then watch TV with Hubby. Good night, friends.

Delighted to hear you are feeling better, I hope you continue to do so!

Terrible news coming out of Arizona. 19 firefighters killed when a forest fire overtook them. Prayers go out to all of their families.

I saw this news this morning! This is so tragic, just devastating. My heart and prayers go out to all involved and affected.

Good Morning, I tried my best to catch up on posts but only got so far.I apologise if I've missed anything important. Hope you all had a good weekend, it goes so fast doesn't it! Long day working yesterday so a much deserved easy day for me today.

My eldest is alot better and is back at school today. He has just 4 weeks to go till school summer holidays. My other half will be on holidays too so I am starting to plan places for us to visit. I sure hope the weather will be nice.

Have a great start to the week everyone and remember ......christmas is coming. :-D

Good Morning, Friends. And welcome to the First day of July!

Onward we press.
Ever onward.
Toward the goal.
Toward the destination.
The destination that is Christmas Season 2013.

The first-of-the-week count statistics:
Days to the Season: 135
Days to Christmas Day: 177
And now we are under two weeks away from our next Mileston, the 2/3 Season point.
And looking at the count figures themselves reveals just how close we really are to a DOUBLE DIGIT Season count.
(And that just doesn't seem possible, does it?)

Same weather pattern here.
Damp for most of the day, with a shower at some point.
More of the same today?
Looks that way.
Currently: 73 degrees with a light rain falling here in the capital city.

Have a Marvelous Monday, Everybody.
I hope your week is off to the best possible of starts!

So happy to hear that your oldest is feeling better. Enjoy your day Festive Spirit!

Mr.'s appendectomy went well, but now there are complications owing to a cranial shunt that routes excess fluid into his abdomen. The area it empties into is the same area as the appendix infection, and a neurosurgeon will have to examine him to make sure the infection won't migrate upward through the tubing toward the brain. They won't be able to do this evaluation until tomorrow. There was a similar situation some years ago when the shunt system was breached, and he had to stay in the hospital for weeks until they determined he was completely free of infection. I was a tearful wreck, because we're so close and do so many things together, and I missed him so much. I'm starting to feel that way again. But it's the only way to make sure he's healthy and safe. To make it worse, this all started on his birthday, and it looks like I'm going to miss celebrating my birthday with him this coming week.

I'll try not to be a downer, but just now I'm feeling awfully sad and lonesome, because Mr. is usually the one I go to when I feel bad, but that's not an option right now.

It is so hard when the one you love is not well. I continue to pray for you all.

Merry, I am a bit behind, but I am thinking and praying for you and the hubby. I pray for a speedy recovery for him and for some peace for you. What a scary situation!

Happy Canada Day, Canadian friends!!! Enjoy!

I was so saddened to hear about those firefighters in AZ. What a terrible loss for that community.

Ryan, I am sorry for your loss. Praying for healing for your family.

I love when I root through boxes and find the unexpected and it is perfect for what I needed it for! Very nice!
So glad you are feeling better today.

Hello everyone!
It is going to be cloudy with showers today, a high of 80 degrees.
My oldest left for work already and my youngest has drivers ed later this morning. My middle one is off today, she worked double shifts Saturday and Sunday so I'm going to let her sleep in today. And my husband is on vacation this week. He plans on taking advantage of the time off and working on the house. I'm hoping he makes a lot of progress this week. Typical day for me. I have chores and errands to do. We are having a few people of over on the 4th of July so I need to make a menu plan and grocery list. I have been thinking about the dog we found and I kind of miss the little guy. I hope he is happy to be back home.
Have a great day!!!

Well, another day, another drenching rain. Such a familiar sight for me now.. a flooded garden and a creek forming in my neighbor's yard, where no creek lies! It's crazy how hard and fast the rain has been coming lately! The water just lays on the grass and can't be absorbed because it's so, so wet. I can't remember the last time I watered my garden! It's getting TOO much rain and some things have died from all the moisture, eek!

caught that briefly on the news on the radio when picking up my daughter, but cannot find anything on tv about it. Terrible and sad news.

I'm very happy to hear that the surgery went well with the Mr. I do hope and pray that everything else falls into the same place as the general surgery.

Merry, try not to be sad, I know that it's not that easy to do, but if this helps, you can always talk to us here and share your thoughts and feelings with us or PM us! Your are our friend and we care about you and your family and we are good listeners....

Anybody else on vacation this week?

I'm off all week...but they just called me and said they needed me. Same thing happened last Thursday.

Ain't nobody got time for that....
