Praying that the neurosurgeon okays Mr. to return home. How long have you two been together?

As of 11 a.m., Mr. still hadn't been visited by a neurosurgeon. His surgical team think he's healing really well and showing no signs of infection, but he needs a neurosurgeon to say that before they'll consider releasing him from the hospital. The suspense is gnawing at me. It's the difference between his coming home in a day or two versus more surgery and a couple weeks in the hospital. He looks good, sounds good, is eating well, and feels pretty well considering what he's been through, but we just don't have the final word yet. I appreciate all your prayers ... looks like they're being heard ... please send up a few more, if you will. I'll be visiting him again after work.

Happens to us, too ... sometimes I just reach over and shake Mr.'s hand after we've just said the same thing simultaneously.

What a nice guy you are, Xmas!

I usually take this week off, but one of my employee asked for it so she could go visit her sister in Mississippi, how could I tell her she couldn't have it. She is my best employee and she deserves it. I plan on taking the 3rd week in August off instead.

You are so lucky about your phone, and your hubby too, I might add! He sounds just like my husband who works non-stop for hours with water breaks in between. As hot as it is, he even worked on the roof, but only until lunch time when it was getting really miserable outside. I am thankful to have such a hard worker as my husband!

Good evening.
So happy to finally sit down and relax. I got a lot done today. I even had some time this afternoon to do some clothes shopping. I accidently left my Iphone in one of the dressing rooms at the mall. I didn't notice until I got all the way home. I thought for sure it would be gone. One of the workers found it and held on to it for me. I am very lucky. I couldn't stop thanking her. Its wonderful to come across kind people like that with all of the not so nice things that go on today.
Anyway, all of my girls are out. The only thing I don't like about summer vacation is that every night is like a Friday or Saturday night for the girls. I think I'm more tired now that they are teenagers than I was when they were babies. At least my youngest has a ride home later and I don't have to go back out. Drivers Ed is going well for her, she went on a highway today. I honestly can't even imagine. I don't even want to go around the block with her!
My husband is working away on the floors but he should be wrapping it up soon. He didn't even eat dinner yet. I don't where he gets his energy from.
I hope everyone had a wonderful day!

Our Baby went in for surgery. The vet found three more growths that turned out to be cancerous. He "woke" her up and she passed out. She still has not revived. It is really hard to type this as she will not be coming home. How hard it is to be the mom and dad of a furchild.

Oh, Seawaters, I'm so sorry to hear this. I don't know what to say, except that I hope that comfort and peace will find you soon.

Thank you ... The latest is that the neurosurgeon says that he'll abide by what the infectious diseases doctor says ... I don't know when his/her opinion is coming. They also want to hold onto him until he has ... er ... oh, heck, until he's passed gas. (That's a sign that recovery is progressing as it should.) I'm hoping for more news when I see him later today. From what Mr. says, there has been an entire team of doctors on the case because of various complicating factors.

We met about 23 years ago, and we've been married for almost 19 years. In some ways, it seems like an eye-blink; in others, it seems like we've always known each other. "Made for each other" is not a cliche in our house. It's pure truth.

Thanks for you comforting thoughts, MC. I hear you on how quickly the time passes within the blink of an eye. Let us know what the doctors say!
