Good morning all.

Ballcoach...what a great racket...every year on the 4th...stay sober for horseshoes and take the others for as much as they'll shell out! Maybe next year it should be $2 per game!

Well, busy weekend coming up. I need to take care of some stuff at my great-grandma's house. We have family coming in for my cousin's funeral, which will be Monday. My "Yankee" cousins will be here tomorrow (from Philadelphia and Delaware) and I will marvel out how funny they talk and they will kid me about my accent, but it's all in good fun! The one good thing that comes out of times like this is family getting together.

I think I'm also going to clean some stuff up at the church. My wife's best friend is in from North Carolina, so they're going to go run around Saturday. My and my son were hoping to see the Lone Ranger, but we may have to wait. Busy, busy, busy!

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Just wanted to wish everyone a MERRY day before I start work!

:merry:

Hope you have a merry day, as well. I spoke...or typed...too soon! I just posted on your profile, checking up on you as I didn't remember seeing you around the Countdown recently. Glad you're doing good and that you're around! Any update on the snake?

What's new with all of you? We had a wonderful July 4th here. It's one of my favorite holidays.

Me too! cheesy I start looking forward to it in June. I load up my MP3 players with a patriotic playlist and plenty of Sousa marches. We love Sousa in our house. One of my presents yesterday was an out-of-print PBS documentary about Sousa. We watched it last night. One of the best parts was at the end, where a Sousa scholar compared Sousa to Santa Claus!

Well, in October, DH and I are going to Cancun, Mexico for our 5th anniversary. I am in need of a new passport, so I'm going to go get a new one today. We may also go get new iPhones as well, not sure about that. Tonight, we're taking the kids to the drive-ins, hoping the weather stays nice.

Sounds like a great anniversary for you two!
I got an iPhone in May, so June was my first vacation with an iPhone. It sure is a great thing to have on a vacation! It also bailed us out yesterday. We started out to have lunch at a Friendly's a few towns over, but got detoured. But the detour route didn't have any signs directing us back to the main road! After wandering around for a bit, I finally got smart and remembered my iPhone. I found a place to pull over, turned on the Location feature, found us on the map, and got directions to another Friendly's nearby. Lunch saved!

We both got some more sleep last night, so we're doing well. Wish I could get my nerves to settle down, though. Even though Mr. is doing well and got his training yesterday on infusing the antibiotic into his PICC line daily, I'm still jittery---I just can't relax and enjoy myself. We had a fine day yesterday (after the training), except for getting slightly lost on the way to lunch. I got plenty of new DVDs to watch, and Gloria sent some beautiful tropical flowers for us both.

Sorry to hear about your cousin. somehow life seems to be like that familys only come together at weddings and funerals.
Hope all goes well over the weekend

My yankee cousins are in Buffalo, NY. Everytime we get together, they call all their friends to come over and listen to me talk. LOL

Good Friday morning, my Christmas friends!

I'm having the same internet issues that xmastidings is describing. Boy, it's a pain!

I've been washing the house and cleaning the pool. A thunderstorm popped up while I was in the pool vacuuming, so I'm not 100% finished with that. Grrr.

The meals and the fireworks were great yesterday. Ok, that's enough summer. Bring on the FALL!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

Thanks, Kirstin, for your kind thoughts regarding our Baby. And I know I misspelled your name when I PMed you, LOL! Are you guys going to drive to fly to Mexico? I am sure you will enjoy it. What made you choose Cancun for your anniversary trip? How long will you be gone?

How did the drive-in work out? What did you see? Do the kids normally fall asleep?

Sheesh, am I asking enough questions, LOL???

Well, I am off to get ready for the day. Hope all is well for all of you and I know some of you have been going through a rough time - I've been thinking and praying for all of you and your families. God Bless you all. Keep smiling! Talk to you all later on hopefully! Have a blessed day.

Did you notice the other day that it was 120 degrees in Las Vegas? Ugh! It was 109 here that day, I think. Have you seen the little booties for dogs to wear during hot weather? I think someone posted it on my FB page. Take care of that sweetheart!

I am still having the internet issues, too, but, with patience, I am reading and responding to the posts.

Like Brad, I am having the same issues. I get the following message after I get to a "new" page: My Merry Christmas is not responding due to a long-running script. Then there is a small box to click on Stop Script.

We had a nice Fourth of July. We were able to sit in our back yard and watch the fireworks since we only live a block from the park. It was pretty good, especially since we are in a small town. The temps at that time were not quite 100 and continued to cool off. This morning, the temps are a lot cooler that yesterday, by about 10 degrees. I hope it stays that way or gets even better!

I have some chores to do and will pop in from time to time.

That means that you are all winners and get to download firefox for free so you don't have the problem anymore!!!!

It's okay! I've got misspelling my whole life!

We wanted to go somewhere in the Caribbean region, so that is where we chose. The resort is beautiful, I can't wait. We're going for 5 days and 4 nights. My mom is going to watch the kids for us. She's very excited.

We will be going to the drive-ins tonight. It has been raining on and off all day though, so we'll see. We're going to see Despicable Me 2. The kids usually fall asleep on the way home. They're usually pretty good about staying awake during the movie.

I don't mind the questions! In fact, I love the chatter!
