Hi guys- I'm hanging out alone tonight watching Hallmark. They went back to showing a movie every evening instead of "Little House" reruns- thank goodness. I mean I like "Little House", but enough already!
Anyway, it's so crazy, but the commercials are for the Christmas in July movies beginning July 8th. I love it!

Hello all. We had dinner with my aunt and uncle today, and a lot of family started pouring in for the funeral on Monday. My aunt and uncle are holding up well but I know their hearts are breaking.
I think I am going to turn in early. Goodnight all!

Talk about memories.....

Y'all, last year I was ornament exchange partners with CM3. Because we share a passion for animals, especially dogs, I thought I would get her one that was my dog.

This was it.

I miss her.

Hey everyone. I got back from dinner a little while ago, we had a nice time. I came home to about a dozen teenagers in my back yard. My daughter decided to invite a few friends over after work. They are being good, I told them they have to keep it down since its getting late. I am still hearing fireworks this evening, my dogs are not happy about that. I think I'm going to read some posts before I head to bed.

I too am originally from Maryland, so I feel qualified to chime in on this subject.
If you go by the Mason-Dixon Line (the border between Maryland and Pennsylvania) Maryland is a southern state. During the Civil War it was considered a border state or neutral, however there were mostly southern sympathizers there. I always considered it a northern state myself, but you are right MerryCarey, it is a beautiful state and has lots of history. I remember going to Vermont once and they said I had a southern accent.:lol:

On a different subject, my supervisor looked at me with a very concerned look on her face and asked if I felt alright. I said yes and asked why she asked me that. She said that I looked tired, I said I am tired, I said it is probably just the heat.

I didn't realize I looked that bad that it was noticeable.:-?

I have always thought of it as a northern state too, but I know it is all based upon perspective.

We are a lot like Texas in some of our culture...a mix of western and southern cultures. In western Oklahoma it has far more in common with western states. In eastern Oklahoma it is very "southern."

Can't keep my eyes open anymore. My husband is staying up to watch tv, so he will make sure the girls are home and safe and sound before he goes to sleep.

Hello everyone!
I had a nice visit with my nephew, his wife and their new baby this afternoon. The baby is so sweet. He slept in my arms for a while, I didn't want to give him back. I can't wait until I see them again.
Anyway, I am going on a date tonight! My two oldest are working and my youngest has plans. My hubby asked me if I wanted to go out to dinner. It's been awhile since the last time we were able to go out by ourselves. It will be really nice.

Glad you had a nice time with your family and hope you enjoyed your meal and a wee but time on your own with hubby

My mom did a load of laundry and didn't hook up the drain hose for the washer. So I just spent the last 45 minutes cleaning up the pond that had developed in my bathroom, down the hall, and into the kitchen. I may be a bit grouchy the rest of the evening now!!!!
