Good evening, MMC!

I just made my very first batch of sugar cookies! They were the kind you do not have to chill which was great. The recipe was on the cardboard surround of the brand new Wilton Christmas cookie pan I found at Goodwill the other day. I ate a couple so now I have to go for a walk. cheesy When I get back, I am going to watch a Christmas movie! Earlier I listened to some Christmas CDs: Michael Buble, The Vince Guraldi Trio's, and the compilation that has Baby, Please Come Home, Darlene Love's version of course!

Merry Christmas in July!!!

I have ask, but has anyone had a cortisone shot before?

I had knee surgery in April and I have been still feeling some pain in it, especially when I do any kind of physical activity. So, I went back to the doc's yesterday, he gives me this shot in my knee joint, and I'm telling you, today I feel great!!!!

That was some good stuff, because it worked (at least for now). I also have to get a special brace made up for it that shifts the weight from the bad side of my knee, to the good side of it. So, I asked him, "what happens when that side wears out?" "When you get older, you'll most likely need a knee replacement! Oh by the way, "Welcome to middle age!"

I guess that was his bedside humor.....

My mom use to refer to cortisone as her go go juice!!! LOL!!!! She use to get shots in her shoulders all the time before she finally broke down and had the tears fixed.

Good evening, friends!!

I just got back from my meeting with a broker. It went very well!! I got a lot of information to think about, and the office was very nice. Everyone that I met was kind.

They offered me a job!

Now, I have a lot to mull over =]

I also plan on speaking with a few other brokers, but I have a feeling I'll go with the one I met today. They are a great company, and have a lot of incentives. And a wonderful training & mentoring program!!

Thanks for keeping me in your thoughts today!!

Off to make dinner, I am famished!

Hope you're all having a great evening so far!

xx

Part of the line up at the opening of Kiwi Kraze! They are giving away free frozen yogurt and apparently we are not the only ones who want some!

Sugar cookies, Christmas movie, Christmas music. Sounds like a pretty good day to me!!!!!

that was so worth waiting for! I am going to take my mom there when things settle down a bit there so she does not have to stand in line to long.

Two months, give or take a few days!

The "giving or taking" even further increases the anticipation and excitement!!! Hopefully there is already a spot for A Christmas To Remember inside the Crabtree Mall!

Brent, you're killing me with those wonderful temperatures! Lucky you!

I agree, Brad. I am very lucky. It feels so nice to be inside and not have the air conditioner running. We had about three weeks of upper 80s and 90s. This cool down is very welcomed. Hope you get some relief shortly!

I haven't had one, but I have had close friends and teammates that have said it cured them. As mentioned a lot on here, I have been dealing with a knee injury for the better part of a year. I am just returning to my normal physical activity now. I was recommended to have active release therapy, which worked... although it took about seven months. Anyway, my active release therapist said that I could get a cortisone shot in my knee and I would feel great, too, however, I would more than likely feel the same pain again in about two or three months.

My guess is that it can cure you if you are careful on it afterward. I am pretty sure that my doctor knew as soon as I felt healthy, I would be returning to the field and gym as soon as I could... Good luck with the healing!

Brent, those temps to me sound fantastic...

I would be outside, making a bonfire in the pit, putting some wings, potato's and sausages on the stainless steel grate I had made for that and then I'd sit back, lookup at the stars and wonder; "what all the poor people are up to....." Yes indeedy, at that moment in life, I'm a rich man....:snowball:

If I owned a home and yard, I would be doing the exact same thing. It would be quite delicious. The temperatures are fantastic. I enjoy all weather, but this is especially nice for the end of July.

Morning all!! had a bit of disappointing news at work yesterday, cant switch to the new hours I was supposed to have, a part of the hospital is closing and they have to offer the hours to someone who is loosing theirs, very understandable but must say I am a little gutted, was looking forward to only working weekends and being home all week. At least i still have a job, there are 4 people loosing their jobs and only the 1 vacancy so 3 of them will loose their jobs :(

I'm sorry to hear it didn't work out, sending hugs your way!

Good Morning All :)
another day off work for me, fingers crossed i'll be well enough to go back tomorrow, another day of watching QVC though.

I hope you feel better in the morning!

Good morning everyone just a quick update on Harper the cough seems to be going away finally. However last night think she has a few new teeth coming and it caused her to be a little cranky. So i had to do her new fav thing where i sing both Heat Miser and Snow Miser song and she will dance around and smile and laugh.

That is so cute! I love those songs too, lol. I'm glad to hear that Harpers cough is going away!

Good morning! It's BEAUTIFUL today! I went walking around 6 in a t-shirt and had to come home early because it was sooo chilly. LOVE IT!!!! Beautiful way to celebrate 5 months until the special day!!!!

Sounds like we are had the same kind of weather today. It was beautiful and a pleasure to go out for a walk with a chill in the air!

I have benn thinking alot about Halloween now. I saw some paper lantern bags in the bargain shop the other morning. they are sold as part of summer decorations. You put sand or pebbles in it along with a tealight candle and put them in the garden. I was thinking they would look great lining my pathway on Halloween night. They are all white so it should be easy to add a little something to it to make it Halloween themed. I am so excited Autumn is my favourite season. This year I really want to put more effort into decorating the front garden. No one else does much on our street so it will be a treat for the little ones in the neighbourhood.

I love the way the lantern bags look at night, you should do it!

It was GREAT! We were in turn 3, row 15 (top row) so we could see the whole track! The only thing behind us was a chain link fence we could lean on since we were standing most of the night! I would think Tony is pretty darn happy with the way everying turned out last night!! The wind was at our back, so the other side of the track ate all the dirt! Hopefully we can get those seats again next year! Other times we have always sat in the grand stands, under cover. This was more fun!

I'm happy to hear that you had a great time, that sounds like a lot of fun!

You're welcome! We are doing good - thank you for asking! Lucy took two of her kittens out to the pond a few days ago and came back without them. She spent the past couple of days looking for them. It is quite overgrown out there so I wasn't much help to her. This morning the missing siblings were on the porch looking for their daily helping of kitten food. Mags, their sister, was so happy to see them. She stays close to the house. If I didn't have Palmer, I'd have Mags in the house - she is a sweetie! The weather is gorgeous and I am going to have as many windows open as I can. With Christmas music blasting away work should go by fast!!! Have a wonderful day, my friend! {{{HUGS}}}

I'm so happy the kitty cats came back Meceka!!!

Congratulations to your daughter! I'm glad you will finally find out what you are allergic to food-wise. It will be so nice to feel good again!!! {{{HUGS}}}

Thank you xo

Great your daughter done well n her exam. and sorry to hear about our results. but at least your know what the cause is and hopefully now know what way to go as a help

Thank you so much!!!

Merry Christmas-in-July, everyone!

We're getting closer to opening night at the theater this weekend. Elizabeth is so tired from all the practice, I hope she gets a change to actually enjoy the play!

Not only is today Christmas in July, it's the first anniversary of my, ahem, myocardial infarction. Someone showed me the newspaper article from last year: "BELLVILLE MAYOR SUFFERS HEART ATTACK". I, however, prefer to believe that I survived a heart attack. It tried to take me out, but I defeated it...with a little help from my cardiologist, that is.

People still offer to do strenuous things for me, afraid I'll have more trouble. It's nice of them, but I don't intend to be afraid. If the doc says to be careful, then I will. But he says I'm good to go as long as I exercise and watch what I eat, so I've decided that the heart attack is something that happened to me in the past, like a broken arm, and I got over it.

[Forest Gump] And that's all I have to say about that.[/Forest Gump]

In other news, my grass has gotten out of control again! It rains every afternoon now, just before I get off work. LOL I might have to use some vacation time to cut the grass. That's crazy!

I hope y'all have a great day! cheesy

I'm happy to hear you are doing so well Brad!
Good luck to Elizabeth this weekend, that is so exciting!!

I just talked to my sister and she is doing okay this morning. Still itchy but no signs of a rash. Her tummy is still upset too just because of the amount of medicine that they gave her. She is a trooper though and going to school for the weekly refresher classes they are offering.

I will continue to pray for your niece.

Yes, we did. After that, we went to the amusement park that's attached to it, went for dinner and for frozen yogurt, and then came home, and I was able to read some books and watch a movie with them - it was a really nice day. :)

Sounds wonderful :-D

Fall is getting closer and closer now stores updating websites to halloween and fall times.. One of my Fave stores, even though i can hardly ever afford anything has updated Halloween section.

Oh I LOVE Williams-Sonoma!

Just a quick post to let you know I have not dropped off the face of the earth. My energy is sapped and I am spending most of my time resting. I will try to check in every once in a while.

Welcome back Seawaters, I hope you feel better soon!
